A fresh Australian restaurant, with a casual dining experience, using a mix of local Cornish and Australian produce. Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and coffee and cakes.
Excellent. We are local and have been to most of the local restaurants and cannot believe we havenât been to Bush Pepper before. It is now on the top of our preferred restaurant list. Beautifully cooked Australian style food as good as anything we had whilst in Australia last year. We will be back soon. Do try, this is excellent .

I was really pleasantly surprised by the standard of the food - it was fresh, light and delicious. You could tell the ingredients were well sourced. Best chilli I've ever had in a restaurant.Drinks were also good. Definitely a great spot!

Firstly, visited in the afternoon. Had rare beef sandwich and cream tea. The beef was not rare and the bread was just average sliced bread. The sandwich looked sort of dead. Nice touch with the coleslaw and root crisps but really need to up your game with the sandwiches! Iâm looking for nice fresh bread, lively (rare) beef as advertised. Appealing to the eye, some effort made. Not something I could knock up myself in 30 seconds from Morrisons! The cream tea was nice, scones were lovely and plenty of clotted cream. A nice touch would be home made jam - again demonstrates an effort being made! EVENING: I had the squid starter which was ok, thatâs all I can say. My main course which was the hake was lovely. Would definitely have this again! My dad has broccoli and spinach soup which was very watery, although apparently tasted fine. My mom has the fillet steak with which she was very impressed. Cooked perfect! My dad and wife both had the rib eye steak which was very disappointing. Requested medium but was overlooked, grey and tasted of old meat. It was also very thin! My wife eats rib eye everywhere we go and she recommended it to my dad. She said it was probably the worst steak she had eaten. The meat as I said was lifeless, grey and overcooked. It should be Rich, caramelised and juicy. Definitely would not order the steak again. Like so many places, the menu sounds amazing but, the canât deliver the quality and take too many short cuts. Lovely when you visit a place where they make an effort. Not just on paper but in reality! Anyone wanting a really good steak in the area try The old mill at little Petherick - No comparison!! Comon guys up your game, make an effort and match the view!!
