We were hotel guests and had made a reservation for Saturday evening at 7:30pm - which turned out to be of advantage. Because at 8pm at least 10 other guests (5 or 6 tables) arrived at the same time, which naturally caused a bit of stress for the service team, hence waiting time for the guests. Even though there were only two other tables occupied at the time we arrived and the service team was very friendly, I was quite disappointed with their efforts. When I asked the server/sommelier whether there was actually only one vegetarian offer (a starter) on the entire menu (no vegetarian/vegan main course!), her answer was simply "yes". No offer to talk to the chef and to ask for alternatives, so I felt like "take it or leave it". My request to not receive aubergine as part of the vegetables that came with the fish, was not really accomodated. The server's answer was "there is usually no aubergine included" - well, that was correct, but unfortunately it came with the only vegetarian entree. btw: later I saw another guest receiving a big vegetarian salad that had not been on the menu. When our main course (a whole seabass) arrived at our table, the restaurant was really busy and the servers were certainly a bit under pressure. However, I didn't like to see the 70⬠seabass being "slaughtered" right next to our table, and also too much of the delicious fish being thrown away. I understand that our waiter felt pressured, but please stay respectful towards the fish and the efforts of the chefs. With two entrees, a whole seabass for two, two desserts, water, and a bottle of white wine our bill came to 180 Euro. For the quality of food this was absolutely okay for us. But as the restaurant's aspiration is to play in the fine dining ligue, I don't think that the guests are supposed to refill their wine glasses by themselves (and it was not just us, but all other guests too). I would also recommend to have only one or two waiters per table, instead of everybody serving all tables. The restaurant is beautiful, inside as well as outside on the terrace. The quality of food certainly deserves to be called 'fine dining' and I would be happy to give it another try. I just hope the service team becomes a bit more customer oriented and will learn to not accept too many reservations at the exact same time.Thank you for leaving us your opinion, in a recently opened restaurant reviews are highly valued in order to improve the quality of it. We visited the Tapas restaurant at Park Hyatt Resort in mid May, so low season. We werenât staying at the Resort, and the whole resort type experience isnât what we normally go for when travelling. But I have to say you couldnât fault the food, service or surrounding. Not an authentic Mallorcian experience, but you will feel looked after and cosseted. We had quite bad experience with this restaurant at CALA RATJADA. We really looked forward to eat there, asi it looked really great. Fresh design, cool printed menus, mobile apps etc, but... food we got was crappy, totally not worth the money. Staff there was a bit strange. We've been alone (no one was there and it was also strange) there, staff whispered and laughed in spanish etc. I got just small portion of noodles with awfully tasting roasted peppers, some bits of crushed peanuts and that's all.
