Contemporary NZ fusion cuisine, inspired by the cuisines of Japan, Korea and China. Relaxed all day dining on Auckland's Viaduct Harbour.
We sat at the counter which we love doing at restaurants because you get to watch all the hustle and bustle of the kitchen as well as interact with the staff. Hello Beasty was a lot of fun from start to finish, the food was impressive, the service was outstanding and the atmosphere was awesome. We ordered a couple of dishes at a time and loved everything we tried. The dumplings were to die for as well as the soft shell crab. There were lots of other things we saw coming out of the kitchen that looked really tasty so next time we are in Auckland, we will be back. All the staff were friendly and attentive, we got to chat to some of the chefs as well especially once things started to quieten down later in the evening.

Met friends here for dinner, had a selection of food and each dish was better than the last. The service was excellent, fast and the atmosphere and decor sublime. Was a weeknight so parking was easy. The food and drink menu is extensive so suggest you look first and talk after :-)

Please come and enjoy our great atmosphere & great food. Kushi Japanese Kitchen & Bar officially opened on 2nd Dec 2011, serving authentic Japanese cuisine including sushi, Yakitori, Tepanyaki, Sashimi and more.
Initially called in for a very quick lunch with work colleagues and advised they were closing in 10 minutes but we were welcome to come in if we didn't mind them clearing up around us - tick number 1 for customer service. had a selection of entree size meals to share - all were amazing - beef tataki to die for, fresh and well chilled sashimi, interesting popped rice kaarage chicken and crispy tempura. Three very satisfied and happy customers who were treated very well. So much so that we decided to return the next evening due to the torrential rain and proximity to the hotel - but also due to the warm and welcoming staff. Evening menu a little more substantial with more main dishes and and bento box type meals, and we went fro a few of the above but included a wonderful salad and pork belly and agedashi tofu washed down with chilled Kirin and matcha and black sesame ice cream for dessert. Atmosphere is warm and there are various seating types depending on mood - booth, tables, floor and the bathroom are really funky too.All in all a heavily recommended restaurant for CBD Auckland - the food is sensational, but the atmosphere and all welcoming staff really made another visit inevitable next time in NZ. Thank you guys and keep up the excellent work.

This eatery has a nice ambience and pleasant staff. I ordered the Big Glory Bay Salmon $26. The waitress advised our group of three to order sides as no vegetables come with the dishes. The salmon 'small plate' arrived and it sure needed sides. The salmon portion was very small & a friend and I joked that we would need to go elsewhere to fill up, even with the two sides ordered. For price vs quantity this is not going to be a place I return to.

There are lots of good things about this restaurant, the atmosphere, the service, the food quality, but the standard lunch menu was really disappointing. You had only 3 options to select from and no vegetarian option. The burger with a side of fries, very good, but not my first choice of a lunch meal and the other two options certainly didnât appeal. The same with the selection for desserts, someone trying to be too clever, fine, but if you had, say an apple pie or something traditional, we would not have gone to Nottingham Hill for our coffee and desserts. Sure, have the fancy sounding stuff for those who want it but I am sure I speak for many, have a good simple food option as well, itâs just keeps the till ringing!

Rather pricey for a not so overwhelming experience!Food was interesting, various tastes on one plate, which I felt was too much. One of the desserts, that all four business GMs tried (because someoneâs said it tasted awful after one sooo full) scores 0/10 and it was left on the table. Sometimes simple good food is a much better experience than trying to cram 6 different flavours into one dessert or main course. The starter were great.

Auckland's finest Korean / Asian fusion restaurant, but with an experience you've never seen before. Come to explore the jungle right at the heart of the city!
Itâs been a while since we visited this restaurant and we felt it was looking a bit tired and could do with a spruce up.The food was still good and prices reasonable. The teriyaki chicken bun was an excellent starter. We had the Kimchi fried rice with pork belly for main, only 3 small pieces of pork belly , a couple more would have made a difference. I missed that it had chilli in the dish , not my thing, but still enjoyed it. Overall good.
