Reviews on Fusion food in Aarhus, Jutland, Denmark. Jutland's cultural heart, Århus is an exuberant university town with a perfectly preserved old town and a recreated historic village, Den Gamle By. The top draw is the Moesgard Museum of Prehistory, showcasing exhibits from the Stone Age to Viking days and home to the city's most famous citizen, the 2000-year-old Grauballe Man. It's a lively spot, teeming with cafes, restaurants, clubs and cinemas. Denmark's second-largest city perches on Jutland's eastern coast amid beaches and woodland.

We went for the menu with wine and appetizer. The portions were well sized and gennerally quite rich, so we felt full when leaving. As I am allergic to some foods, Møf exhanged the parts I am allergic to without hazzle. All servings were good, but the zuchinni with goat cheese were really great in its own simple way.The place is small, but the acustic are good, so you were still able to talk and hear what is being said.

FOOD We want to bring high quality and inspiration to create a good dining experience at an attractive price. We offer 'Dish of the Day' and 2 menus of 7 or 12 small dishes that can be enjoyed over 45 minutes or 4 hours depending on your time and temperam
The restaurant is a nice place to crash into. Easy access, in the town center, it will give you good emotion... they suggest standard menu with 7-10 or more courses. Based on great organic ingredients (wine included), the idea is combining them inventing new dishes. The best one should be steammed carrots empty and filled with goat cream cheese and a little (soy?) dressing. They ask for your attention and it is nice... but if you have 7 stop in your conversation, it could become a little complicated.Wine was good too, and the place is quiet. The dessert made by three different ice cream was delicious and also the dessert wine served together.Try it!

Right by the harbor, at the end of âà enâ, close to Dokk1, as neighbors to the tramway and in the middle of it all youâll find Madklubben Aarhus. In the cityâs stunning old custom house, which has lived to be inhabited by tax officials, architecture pupils
Madklubben is situated in an authentic, old building (former customs house) not far from the water front in Aarhus. We visited the restaurant on a VERY busy Friday evening, but still they managed to serve very well prepared, tasty and experimenting food, e.g. I tried a fish (ling) that I have never tasted before (and I've had some different in my life!).Prices are VERY reasonable! The staff is both friendly, personal and lively.Unfortunately a visit in Madklubben will never be a 5-stared experience, as the acoustic and noise level is simply DISASTROUS, you are not capable of holding an ordinary conversation, and you simply can't hear the waiters.

When visiting restaurant GÃST you will experience Italian-Nordic cuisine, local seasonal produce, and a sustainable approach to both food and people. We serve creatively prepared dishes, where traditional Italian flavors meet modern Nordic thoughts.
Stayed at the hotel and I had looked forward to the resturant's offer of "old Italian food traditions meeting the best of modern Nordic cuisine" - but was disappointed. The resturant advertises that "The pasta is homemade, the ingredients local and the craftsmanship is completed." The pasta might be homemade - but the cook apparently does not know how to cook pasta - nobody wants to eat pasta that is not near to being al dente. The pasta in "Cacio e Pepe" MUST be prefect prepared. The desert was well-composed - but again the cooking was not quite in the top - rabaraber gele had a weird consistency - and the caramel was not present? The staff appeared unattended but professional. However, it was difficult to handle an bill noted to the room. All in all an average experience.

We tried variations of the chef's tasting menu during a recent meal at this restaurant in central Aarhus. There were several amuse bouche starters that were interesting but the flavors did not always meld well. The actual appetizers were more interesting but suffered from a similar challenge--a number of unusual ingredients with the combined effect often less than the sum of the pieces. The service was outstanding--very friendly and enthusiastic. We tried the accompanying wine options but found that many of these were low end wines that were relatively insipid with the exception of a robust red served with the main veal course. A spatlese Riesling served with dessert was poor combination. All in all, a mixed experience with some interesting flavors, unique fresh ingredients, and great service but relatively mediocre wines and fusion failure.
