I had visited Kalkoentje several years ago and had more or less forgotten about is. But when a friend invited me to his birthday celebration there I was very surprised! Excellent food and wine, in various original presentations. Outstanding service, attending to the special needs of some of the guests. I absolutely will be back!

We had a delicious dinner at Maxima with good wines. It is a very nice place with great service from the owners (cook and host) and their daughter. When the weather is nice you can have a table on the outside patio, also great for small groups. We heard about this place some time ago but struggled to book a table because they are hard to find on the internet. Hope this review helps. Their level of cooking and service deserves more attention. A welcome new discovery in the greater Buren area while many restaurants there struggle to keep their level of cooking up.Try Maximaal and you will not be disappointed.

I was here for a business talk with somebody. The coffee they served at De Kluis is perfect and price worth. Sagefredo. Like in Italy. Delicious cappuccino. Friendly personnel. De Kluis is attractively located in the centre of Doorn, with a heated terrace. Good and friendly staff.

We have eaten here frequently for Sunday lunch. After a cycle along the dijk, Herberg Den Rooden Leeuw is a welcome watering hole. They have recently extended the outside seating area to the rear of the restaurant which enables visitors to sit in the shade and enjoy a snack. My favourite is the gravad lax salad with dill sauce. The menu is not the standard lunch menu and you can expect to pay a little more - it is however very tasty and well presented. Friendly staff and speedy service.

Situated in a pdestrianised food street spanning the short distance between the Art Gallery and the Cathedral Square, the 7th Heaven is a dark, cosy and characterful pub/restaurant serving classic Dutch food. There's a warm welcome for all comers and the punters appear to be a judicious mix of locals and those from further afield. Prices are reasonable and the service is smiley. Food quality is fair to good. Worth a visit.

Gezellig café met daarachter een feestzaal. De sfeer in het café/feestzaal is goed. Zaak ziet er keurig netjes uit. De bediening doet zijn best om iedere gast goed te helpen. De prijzen van de consumpties zijn niet te duur. Prima gelegenheid om een feest te vieren. Er is voldoende parkeerruimte.

We recently called in at this restaurant for lunch during our long weekend visit exploring the lovely countryside in the Utrechtse Heuvelrug. We were immediately greated by very friendly personnel and because of the good weather, we chose to sit on the terrace outside.The menu here is very good with quite a number of unusual tasty choices of food on it. As it was lunchtime, I chose the 'Scampi / Ossenhaas Salad', which consists of prawns, pieces of beef and green salad served-up in a very tasty Thai dressing and is reasonably large and filling (for a lunch). I was not disappointed !The nice atmosphere, choice of food and the very friendly staff made us return here again with friends on two more occasions (for lunch and drinks) during our small holiday in the area. We did not experience dinner here, but when you look at the beautiful inside decor of this restaurant, I am sure it would be a very nice place for an evening meal. I would certainly recommend it.Thankyou Jacqeline for your freindly service each time and I am sure we will return here again the next time we are in the area.

An outdoor terrace right in front of Amerongen Castle, a lazy warm summer evening that turns time timeless, a truly wonderful dinner, immaculate service ... Who says that perfection does not exist?We had one of the best dining experiences of the past few years in Bentinck, housed in the former stables of the castle. From amuse to friandise, and the four courses in between -- all were excellent, both in terms of taste and in terms of the aesthetics of presentation. The young waiting staff proved enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and attentive.If you should eat outside, don't forget to walk in to admire the splendid textile art (several meters long) by one of Holland's finest artists, Claudy Jongstra.Highly recommended!

Groot terras voor de deur maar leek niks bijzonders verder, tot we binnen stapten. Heel gezellig ingericht, mooie bank, lekker zitten en genieten van een amandel/frambozenvlaai. Vrolijke bediening, schoon toilet en lekkere golden milk chai. Laat je verrassen.

Restaurant Voltaire is new in our area and managed by Chef Marco Westmaas. We had a 7 course menu with exquisit tastes from all over the planet accompanied by some great wines. If you are prepared to travel a bit we certainly recommend the journey laid out by the chef.
