I was very disappointed from the student dinner (15⬠for 3 courses). Having a look at the menu, it looks very nice, but the three courses for students were a big disappointment. To begin with, the courses we got are not available on the menu itself. The best course was the soup, unfortunately not more than three sips. As a maincourse, we got a hamburger, with low-quality meat (kind of a Frikandel) and a very small portion of fries. The vegetarian option was some kind of puff-pastry with a bit of cale. The dessert was a slice of pink gelee. All in all, this was unfortunately not even worth the 15⬠we paid. It seems to be a good restaurant and I am sure the food might be better, but I wouldn't go back there and would not recommend to take the student dinner.

We went to this restaurant because we heard it was good... ok.. letâs try... Welcome! Warm handshake. View on the open kitchen. Friendly staff. The concept is simple and easy. One price and eat as many starters, main courses and desserts as you like. âNormallyâ you get large chunks of bread etc. Thatâs different here. Al dishes are relatively small but not too small. And...surprise! Tasty! Duck, veal, beef... all tasting like it should be. Juicy and tasty. Donât take the local cheese and the sherry because youâll order another one. This is certainly not the last time Iâve been there. Thanks for the very pleasant evening.

I went to the restaurant with a colleague on his suggestion. He knows I love good wine, as does he, and he'd been a few times and was impressed with the wine list. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. We decided to have dinner too. The menu is small and is a modern take on traditional Dutch cusine. Our meals were both very good, although the portion sizes were a little on the small side. The wine list wasn't long, but was good and the wine the waiter helped select for us was good. Wageningen doesn't have a huge selection of good food outlets, so this is a welcome addition.

Three times in ten years and this chef-owned, family-operated gourmet restaurant has been an excellent choice for dinner. It is consistently very good with moments of gourmet excellence. The service staff is outstanding. The wine list is limited, but satisfying. Whenever I am within 10 km, I will be there unless my dear Dutch friends insist on a family meal.

Situated close to a protected natural area this restaurant is a typical Dutch lunch bistro (btw, never been there for dinner). Fast service, average menu and average food (typical Dutch lunch food). But good quality vs price ratio. And staff very children friendly. We will come back...

There are lots of restaurants in Wageningen and there are also sorts of fashion waves. Diels is now the hip place to go (or it was). Nice location, modern. Good service. But the food... cold starter (and nothing special). Main dishes: me lobster for 25Euros but with less than 100g of flesh, and tasteless. My wife, duck, tasty but also perhaps 150g of meat for 19Euros. Fries cold and not fresh. We left unhappy and lighter 85Euros.This fashion will pass soon...

Historic Hotel and fine dining Well, we were promised a great evening and that is what we had. This hotel with all the historic connotation delivers. The website is great and I liked the page that features the employees: great. We had a large suite , very comfortable and access to all a traveler needs. We took diner in O Mundo and this comes with shock and awe. The servicing staff is pleasant and helpful and the sommelier knows his trade. The 7 âtastingâ diner option was just great. Amongst others tt included , oyster as well as foie gras and was well prepared and did not disappoint. Wine options were great, but I would have like to see more options from German wineyards.
