I had dinner here with my Aunt and her husband last Saturday night. The atmosphere was great and the food was superb. We opted for the menu chosen by the restaurant for that night. Each dish was accompanied by a glass of wine that was especially selected by the resident sommelier. The staff member in question was highly knowledgable about why he chose the specific wines and how they complimented the dish. Small portions, but filling once you've had all 4 courses. I'll definitely come back.

I trusted the TripAdvisor comments and went there with my wife. It was fabulous! We took the 5 services surprise menu with wine pairing. A little bit pricey but definitely worth it. We will go back for sure! The place is top as well (old Dutch style farm).

After a nice walk, we stopped at this bistro for a drink and something sweet. The staff was very friendly and they had good coffee and smoothies. Additionally, they have a selection of muffins, cakes, and pies. The server even brought water for our dogs. This bistro has a nice atmosphere and good service. It is a bit pricey but you get what you pay for.

Located in the renovated garden of the Duivenvoorde estate, you will find Hof van Duivenvoorde. This new and unique place offers you the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of the Randstad. Take a seat and enjoy the peace and freedom of nature com
Gaspacho. Ahh, i like it! The fruity freshness of rich vegetable flavours on leasurely warm sunny days. It opens the mind to vistas of bountiful landscapes, and nourishingly oozes into the body. In the Mediterranean Countries i feast on Gaspacho 'a lot'.I decided to do the same on the sunny terrace with a view on the garden of de Hof van Duivenvoorde. What would i find, so far away from Iberia?I discovered that this Gaspacho was very very well done. Flowery. Full. Rich taste. Delightful. With a thick slice of their home made bread. The chef evidently appreciates cuisine as an art, and playfully explores creative combinations of food flavours. As the saying has it: "de gustibus non disputandum". The Romans already realised that Taste and savouring flavour can be very very individually unique. You best try out these flavours for yourself. Their menu is on their web site. This eatery, housed in awarded architecture is a bit out of the way but as the 5 star notation puts it: worth the trip outside of town (Leiden, the Hague). Especially if the weather is fine and you like an after-supper-stroll in the adjoined park (admission â¬1 p.p.). The estate in the park can be visited too (separate admission fee; check their visiting hours). For me, sometimes the simple dishes speak loudest about the care given to food. So i asked for a portion of their "bio-frieten", which i requested "extra tanned". Most eateries are skimpy on frying fries longer, but here i got exactly what i asked for. Well done! The Sencha Tea - always a good anti-oxydant - was good quality too. Not 'run-of-the-mill, and another sign that here they truly care for the food they offer. Remember that a tea like this can be re-infused a couple of times.Oh, yes. Leave your dog at home. As announced on the web site, they can not be let in. Dogs are by instinct hunters and the park has many birds which they do not wish to scare away. A section of the park is closed off in bird breeding season, for their protection. From the chair where i enjoyed my food, their food, i saw a peacock parading atop the brick garden wall.

An eight month old hidden jewel worthy of a Michelin Star. The ingredients are real premium . An innovative cuisine yet sublet and flavorful taste, small and very attentive service I could feel the passion in the food preparation if they they keep that passion a flare soon they will be Michelin rated. I enjoyed every bit it of the experience and I would definitely skip any of the nearby rated restaurants to repeat this dinner.

We were 5 couples prebooked for 5 course evening dinner. Arrived on time, seated immediately, water delivered immediately - still or sparkling options. Beautiful fresh baked bread kept coming; wine glasses topped up; service professional and seamless, food courses imaginitive, colourful and delicious. Outdoor seating well lit and comfortable. Sun protection for early part of evening. All dishes introduced and explained. Time between courses perfect. Not busy (Sunday). Works like a Swiss Watch. Adding on the decor, ambience, restrooms, noise level and comfort I find I can't take off any points - so a perfect 10! Well done.

We chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel. Having read rather old reviews, we thought the â¬75 per person menu, matching wines to each dish would suit us. It is not our intention to insult the chef but only one dish was well prepared, The red wine served with it was a mismatch. We left thinking that there was neither flair in the cooking nor intuition when choosing wines to accompany the food. The lovely waitress repeated over and over her "set script" to the diners, who appeared to be tourists as we were. We thought it over priced and very pretentious to the point of discomfort.

High class service, topfood served in a fine, relaxed atmosphere. Established in 1997, more than twenty years Leiden's finest!
A great restaurant offering high end food at reasonable prices. We did the â¬80 a head mid week meal not realising that this also included a flight of wines to pair with every course. Water and coffee was complimentary which really gave an overall feeling of exemplary service. Food fantastic and service great and price reasonable. What more can you ask for!Definitely will be going back

Celebrating my birthday with good friends. Weather was at it's best so we had a glass of bubbly outside in the garden. We had a 4-course set menu, and they substituted one starter without hesitation. Portions were surprisingly large for such a place. The gravlax was a whole piece of fish, a centimeters thick, the main beef steak had several pieces, but dishes were well paced so you have time to digest. A special dessert was a funny surprise, sitting on top of dry ice in water with the nice " live clouds/mist effect" on the table. A very enjoyable evening with professional service and very reasonable prices. One of the better places in the Leiden area.
