Have now had lunch here twice when we didnât really fancy a restaurant meal. Dishes a straight forward simple meat and chips meals ,although they do a good Caesar salad. They represent good value for money and the meats are of a good quality. There is an excellent ambiance as many locals eat here. Staff are friendly and helpful. The burger is a gut buster

So this place is right on Normandy beach. the view is amazing and the history that goes along with it. I went with a large group who speaks French I however do not speak French. They had an English menu which helped out a lot. They have a menu that offers 2 or 3 courses for a set price and this is what we all went with. I had a seafood app seabass as a main and an apple tart for dessert. The food was amazing I loved every bit of it. I didn't notice any problem with the service as I don't speak French but was told after that the service wasn't very good possible just didn't notice anything wrong as I couldn't understand what was being said back and forth. the prices were good considering the level of quality the location and the amount of food you get

Over priced for dinner. waiters not the friendliest, menu was not explained at all, nice wine list. Luckly I spoke French, as there was not English menus.

We only wanted a light lunch so this little bistro was a perfect choice for us. There were lots of French people eating there which is usually a good sign. Some lighter choices were available such as galettes and crepes and salads. There of us chose salads and the other had croque monsieur. The salads were fresh and tasty and big portions. The plat du jour was very good value but only if you want a big lunch unfortunately- it did look a good choice though. Service was efficient and friendly and the prices were very reasonable

Right on the embanquement, just above the beach, and with a wonderful view on the sea and the sunset, this is probably the best restaurant in Villers-sur-Mer (at least this is what our host advised, and we can not certainly disagree). Formal and efficient service, great seafood (and I am sure the meats as well), it is not cheap - but worth every euro you spend. A beautiful place, we'll be back!

There is a new team at this superb modern restaurant. Not only does it have delightful view over the protected wetlands just inland from the beach of Villers sur Mer from the various terraces and windows, the food is terrific, the prices represent excellent value and the staff exceptional. My only TINY gripe is that the background music is a touch intrusive, hence 4 stars not 5.A booking is advised as it always seems busy.

We chose the place because we could see the ocean when sitting outside. Everything seemed simple but we just wanted to have some lunch with our kids. Despite the simplicity and prices the food and service were excellent. Very friendly and personal service as well as an awesome selection of local specialties - the âfondueâ plate was amazing. Great beer and cocktails too, great menue and service for children. Never expected this in a touristic area. Do try this place!

We were pottering around the centre of town having had a long walk along the wind blown but beautiful sea front. Though it's a smallish place it has plenty of food choice and the locals were out eating in force at lunch time. My wife is very fond of smoked salmon and here it was being offered in a galette (a buckwheat savoury crepe) with a lemon cream (â¬8). I had a cheese and apple galette â¬7.60) after considering their scallop & cognac offering. As I was eating this tasty pancake the waitress passed by with the scallop type and I regretted at that point not ordering it but the regret vanished quite quickly. The food was simply delicious and quickly served up. We chose a bottle of organic local cider (â¬10) at 3 per cent proof to accompany the food and it was very drinkable. We finished off with a flambéed grand mariner (â¬5) and a butter crepe (â¬2). Friendly staff with a little English spoken. Really worth a visit or two. The photograph illustrates perfectly the stone interior, wooden chairs and quaint place.

Nice little place. Had a very good lunch, friendly service, enjoyable outdoor patio. I had the Italian salad, it was excellent and not too large. Hubby had a raclette which he had never had before and he thought it was delicious. We didnât plan to gave dessert, but I had a scoop of dark chocolate ice cream and it was incredible! Just what this chocolate lover craves. Hubby had a delicious dessert with ice cream, whipped cream and Carmel sauce and it was amazing!(Sorry, we forgot the name of it!) Prices were reasonable. I definitely recommend!
