This restaurant is called Kingâs Tandoori now and is under new management. The Indian food is so far very good. There is a three course menu of the day for 19 francs

Went out to Bex for our annual post New Year dinner with the family. The restaurant is nicely decorated, its a bit small though. The entrance opens right into main section of the restaurant. Additional sitting area upstairs but I think its just inconvenient and theres not a lot of room up there either. The service was exceptional, they were really friendly and professional. A bit surprised that they didn't announce one of the dishes before serving it. It consists of Bacardi. Just think that anything with strong alcohol should be announced. Even if its a surprise menu. The food was a bit of a disappointment, It was OK. Just OK. We took the surprise menu. And we were awed by the presentation but not the taste. Its too simple. Theres no WOW! The main dish was ok, fillet de veau, cannot even remember what the side was. The dessert was another let down, 3 balls of dark chocolate with fruits. The chocolate was too strong, bitter. It was a 7 course meal, somehow we left feeling hungry. The portion size was too small. Overall I would recommend this place. I would definitely return.

Every time I come to Villars, I have to go to Le Sporting. One of the best restaurants in Villars.Fantastic vieuw on the Alps, good service, friendly waiters, in the center of the city, nice choice of meals and....delicious.

It is a nice place to be. Simple but tasty. The food this year was extremely well prepared. We had a wonderful starter of pigeon and fois gras, that could challenge all the tables in the region.

We two couples reserved a table for lunch on a rather wet and misty Saturday. Because of the weather three of us arrived early and had to wait for our companion to finish her ski lesson but this didn't faze the waitress. After aperitifs we asked for the plat du jour, advertised as available from Monday to Sunday, only to be told it was just served on weekdays. Slightly taken aback and a little disappointed, we ordered three local specialities and the burger. The specialities were attractively and imaginatively presented and looked to be the best option. Service was friendly and professional but the waiting staff were very busy. Good, honest food. Quite a wide variety with choices for vegetarians, fish or meat lovers. I believe cooked to an extent with locally produced ingredients. Great portions.

We returned to this restaurant today after a very long absence and were delighted to find the food was as good as we remembered.Salad for starters- very good- then beef fillet with morel sauce accompanied by rosti and vegetables- delicious.A superb bottle of Baton Rouge from 2010 (made from Barbera and Sangiovese) completed the meal.

Again as with everything in the Chalet Royalps the staff were exceptional, fantastic knowledge and very friendly making you feel so welcome.The meal was everything you would expect from a Michelin stared restaurant. Impeccable presentation and fantastic flavours.We were truly spoilt with amazing course after course. My spider crab starter was so good. Also what a cheese selection there was a cheese I tried which I would love to know what it was called if anyone from the restaurant reads this.If everyone gets treated as special as we did here then what you waiting for book a table!Also Iâm not a sweet person but the lemon meringue lollipop- very very specialThank you

The interior is at the leftside modern and with much light and the right side more conventional with much wood. Most of the tables are inside and you must reserve as the restaurant is not very big. The food is excellent, nicely presented in your plate. The service is very nice and very efficient. Keep some space for the desserts which are excellent and that you may reserve when you order to be sure to have them.
