I don’t usually use trip advisor to write reviews, more so to see if the restaurant or hotel we are visiting is up to par. This restaurant is definitely an exception, and here’s why: The food is completely cooked to perfection- vegetables not soggy nor solid, mashed potatoes are deliciously flavorful and definitely made IN HOUSE (none of that market bought bull), and don’t even get me started on the wagyu strip steak. Melt in your mouth - cut it with your fork - charred outside and tender inside - DELICIOUSNESS. I opted for the filet because I’m more of a lean meat type, but after tasting my husbands wagyu I will most definitely be getting that for myself next time. My mother in law is gluten free and wanted the shrimp fra diablo without the pasta; the kitchen and staff were very accommodating and gave her a beautiful bed of mixed vegetables with the diablo sauce and jumbo shrimp on top. Did I mention the shrimp was jumbo? The shrimp was so amazing, she was talking about it for the rest of the night. My father in-law on the other hand, is a piccata fanatic. Nothing compares to his homemade chicken piccata and nothing will change his mind... until Di Mare. Their veal piccata had him almost licking the plate. Their fork tender, thin but not too thin, veal slices were definitely the highlight of his night. Not to mention the beautifully flavored piccata sauce paired well with the side of rice and mixed vegetables that came with the plate. Although, and hats off to the chef for this, the wild rice could’ve been put on a plate by itself with a garnish of parsley and called a delicacy and we would’ve loved it. I personally have never been to a restaurant that can make RICE taste like heaven. All in all, the service was outstanding, the food was outstanding, and the restaurant as a whole was delightful. Absolutely no complaints, we will be back again VERY soon. Thanks Di Mare!!!

We were a party of three adults and had high expectations based on recent restaurant reviews and general "word of mouth" from friends. We were there on a Saturday night in 'prime time' and the place was slightly busy, but not overly busy (there were one or two empty tables during the 2+ hours we were there). My lasting impressions, in no particular order: - noise level was high (we were two tables away from the piano, which is a nice touch, but in the future, I would ask to be seated farther away) -wine list was good with some selections you will not find elsewhere-wine prices were 2X to 3X retail prices-menu has innovative selections and there were lots of specials-food quality was a little above average; appetizers and salads were better than entrees- food prices were moderately high- service was on the slow side-service was OK but not far above average I will probably give the place another try sometime in the future, but not on a weekend night.

Vero Caffe is exactly what makes Vero Beach a great place. It's one of the few places you can still find the personal touches from times gone past. Vero Caffe is no exception. I stopped by for an Americano coffee and some fresh homemade gelato and it did not disappoint. The coffee was freshly made to order and the gelato had just been prepared. It was so creamy and delicious I hated to take the last bite. I'm planning to go back and try the pastries and quiche. The owners are super friendly and really care about your experience!
