Friendly bar & salad bar at the foot of the old town with restaurant in the dining room and terrace on the banks of the Vézère in summer. Since 12 years, Maud offers homemade dishes, salads, croque monsieur, omelettes, tart of the day and choice of ice-cr
The café has tables at the riverside that are perfect for relaxing and watching the river, road and people pass by. The river is tranquil and "people watching" is always good fun. The waiter skilfully dodges the traffic and serves at high velocity!Omelettes and Bergerac rosé wine were perfect. Simple, straightforward and enjoyable.

Lovely quiet spot on the river with tables outside. Good menu with regional dishes, everything very fresh and high quality. Fantastic perigord salad with foie gras and duck. Good childrenâs menu too with lovely home made chips which would be worth going back for.

As others have stated there are two restaurants with the same name, owned by the same people. We went to the out of town one. This is the fancier of the two and I would describe it as a special occasion (maybe weddings), sort of establishment.I had the warm foie gras, starter, followed by Tournedos Rossini, cheese and tarte tatin. Everything was ok, and therein lies the problem. On this holiday I ate better foie gras and better fillet steak at other restaurants, at much lower prices. There was nothing particularly wrong with Au Jardin D'o. It was just that the setting and the surroundings, not to mention the menu, promised far more than they delivered.

Had tried to get into 2 other restaurants - one fully booked the other closed for the night. Was driving out of town when we saw this placed. We went in on a whim. What a fantastic choice. Great setting with a lovely terrace to the rear. Highly friendly staff, super menu and beautifully cooked food. Everything was fresh and so well presented. I had a lovely pork medallion dish and my partner had chicken. Both superb. My shrimp starter was also excellent and quite unexpected as it was served hot. The service was first class and the bill was surprisingly cheap. Will certainly return before leaving this area of France. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.Hello,Tanks you so muchLa direction

This is a lovely restaurant with very good food and an excellent wine list. The service is friendly and not overpowering as in some restaurants. We have had a New Year menu in a local Michelin star restaurant previously and the lunch here today, easily was up to the mark even though it was a fixed menu. Every table was full today and the place had a lovely atmosphere, we have been in summer when it is not so busy but the food was good.

You must sit on the terrace and watch the sun set while you eat because the views are unbelievable. Great atmosphere. great service, friendly staff. I am a non-french speaker and they were really helpful. But far and away the best part of La Mandragore is the food!!! It is slightly different than what you would typically find in the region and the fusion of flavors was magical!

After touring Les Jardins de l'Imaginaire, which was wonderful, we strolled through this charming village and found this place right at the base of Englis Saint-Sour. Even though we arrived near 14:00 looking for lunch, and other cafes were closing for the afternoon, our host greeted us warmly and encouraged us to order anything we wanted. Our salads were beautifully presented, fresh and tasty, and the dessert sampler was to die for - all enjoyed on their sunny terrace at our leisure. Thank you, Martin, for the memorable visit! PS - The garlic soup was amazing - highly recommended!

Stumbled on this place by chance as it was a Monday lunchtime and many other restaurants were closed. Were so glad we did. On a warm summer afternoon we sat on the terrace at the front where many of the locals also seemed to be eating. The 12 euro set menu was amazing value. Just one of the courses would have justified the price! The starter of pate de campagne served with salad, coleslaw and bread was both tasty and substantial and was then followed by a mixed grill of duck, beef and local sausage with a lentil and potato cassoulet. Finally there was a dessert of a spomge filled with fresh cream and seasonal fruit. Whilst the staff spoke little English they were extremely friendly and helpful. The restaurant is situated on the other side of the bridge from the main street but is well worth seeking out. Highly recommended!
