Located on the Strait of Gibraltar where Africa meets Europe, Tangier has long held strategic importance. Ruled through the centuries by waves of conquerors including Romans, Vandals, Byzantines, Arabs and Portuguese, the city is more than two and a half millennia old, making it one of North Africa's most ancient. The medina, kasbah, bazaars and souks are among the country's most vibrant, and the beaches are excellent. In the last century, Tangier became a hot spot for the international jet set.

Gastronomy Opened for a few years in an alley of the city center, the restaurant O.tri.K imposes itself like one of the sure values ââof Tanger, in terms of gastronomy. The owner Karim Nacim watches with a masterly hand, that your meal happens as best as
The interior is a kind of New York vintage interior with good music. You first get a drink at the bar before enjoying an excellent meal. The menu is typical French using the local fresh food. The fish is particularly good. I recommend the red tuna and the "feuilleté aux crevettes"( shrimp cake). The service is nice, relax. We had even a singer with a guitar playing good old songs from the 80-90's.

Modern, trendy place, attracting many people who want to be seen there ( locals not tourists). Their cakes and pastries are wonderful. However service is very slow and very unwelcoming. Staff serve tables and no more ! We really did detect a take it or leave it attitude and not sire if this was just directed at tourists? It felt that way. It doesnt matter how good and attractive your cakes and premises are when you have staff like this !!! A definite training need !

The only restaurant really open when we went, as it was the first day of Eid, this place has an amazing interior with great Moroccan food, from the tagines to the salad and starter. Would highly recommend as a place to get authentic food for a good price, and the staff were very nice and courteous.

Nice place. They are really trying. Happy to see this place in tanger. Patty is good. Bread a bit too big. All the burgers I tried had caramelized onions. The lettuce in the burger could be fresher. With all this, it's one of the better places in tanger for a burger. It's open almost all day. Try it. Don't expect a gourmet burger.I hope they continue to add new burgers and concentrate on the details to improve. .. Salads are good. Since it's a burger place, would be nice to put the ketchup and mustard on the table, u have to request them every time. Fries need to be crunchy. After all this, you will experience a decent burger, and hopefully they can improve.

Having visited upon recommendation of American couple we met, so pleased that we did. The most beautiful colonial style, substantial villa, sat on a hillside overlooking Tangier in area where you can find a few embassies. It is very exclusive. It is just beautiful. Independently owned and extremely well maintained , this is a boutique hotel of distinction and second to non. 5 star luxury. Internally the place is amazing- antique furniture, lovely paintings and perfectly contrasting soft furnishings and rugs . The dining room is impossibly romantic. Drinks on terrace and lunch in this wonderful, intimate dining room- open to non residents. This place is like a mini palace. The service is excellent from liveried staff- uniforms extremely smart. Menu not the most extensive and style is distinct classical Moroccan or high end French- no overlap or fusion. The food is very good but not exceptional. Presentation is good but there are no culinary theatricals here- they seem to go beyond that ? However the surroundings make this a unique and exceptionally good dining experience. Some wonderful wines. Huge G+Ts before lunch ! Arabic and French spoken - very little English. Only slight negativity is a dose of high end French haughtiness which isnt optional ! Wonderful grounds/ parkland surround the property. Lovely staircase to pool terrace and views down to Tangier City and the sea. WOW indeed !

The restaurant is right on the pier with a beautiful view of Tangier and the water. The fish/seafood was fresh and delicious. The food had a French flair, with great sauces as accompaniments. The dessert was delicious. The service was excellent as was the wine. Prices were typical NY/London prices. ($75 for dinner with wine for one)I would absolutely recommend but order everything rare, as all over this country they overlook their meat/fish unless you like it well done. Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your kind feedback on TripAdvisor. We are very pleased to read your positive review and sincerely thank you for having taken the time to write this nice comment. We look forward to welcoming you to our Table du Marché soon. Best regards

What a wonderful ambience this French couple has achieved! Oh, and to be able to drink a chilled glass of wine overlooking the sea.Atmosphere was wonderful and although they were about to close they made us little things to eat with our glass of wine. We were just to late to explore the menu.

What a stunning restaurant in a stunning place!Enjoyed a really good business lunch here recently, food is excellent, staff are super efficient and friendly and the venue is just out of this word! A stunning cottage style setting with an expansive outdoor seating area which is just sublime - the perfect view. It's a very out of the way location, far off the beaten track and this adds to the attraction, it's not inundated with tourists making the atmosphere of the restaurant that much better.Great venue for a relaxing afternoon lunch in the open - I could linger there for hours given half the chance!!!

This was my second time at this restaurant. Since it was in their winter, the outdoor garden area was closed. They have a lovely interior dining room. Sat by a front window. Food and service both excellent. My only complaint was not only do they allow smoking inside, they sat a smoker right next to our table.

UN LIEU, TROIS AMBIANCES... OUVERT 7/7 "Café terrasse", ouvert non stop de 9 heures à 17 heures "Restaurant & Piano bar", ouvert à partir de 19:30 heures
Just finished a nice lunch, with friends whilst working in Tangier. This rustic looking resturant is located at the very top of the old town, in what seems a more affluent area.Dining was mainly outdoors, on our visit, but shaded by lovely trees and surrounded by artists drawing the scenery. The offered a small selection of key Moroccan food, which was fresh, tasty and very filling. The staff and service was good, but equally important they accepted all credit cards including VISA and AMEX.We met locals, who dined there very often and would visit ourselves, if in the old town again.
