Passing through and sleeping here, i had dinner in the very cosy and nice, traditionally decorated restaurant, a bit separated from the hotel. High quality local specialities, very good, maybe somewhat traditional wine list with lots of local toppers, very friendly, very welcoming. Ate a wonderful terrine here and some tradtional tripes d'alsace. Very high quality, nice place.

We liked this restaurant so well we returned the next evening. The staff welcomed us and gave excellent service. We enjoyed our table on the sidewalk. The chef makes different specialties from day to day. You can always get the standard Alsatian dishes (choucroute garnie, tarte flambée, etc.), but look for the specials listed on the slate. We enjoyed a Souris dâagneau (lamb shank) at 18⬠and a Tartiflette using Munster cheese instead of the traditional Reblochon at 13.50â¬. Another night we enjoyed the Jambonneau (ham knuckle) in Munster sauce at 15â¬. In line with the restaurantâs name (The bullâs foot), they also serve several kinds of beef steak. Our desserts were extraordinary: a blueberry tart, a raspberry tiramisu, and a rhubarb tart with meringue. Overall this is traditional French cuisine at a high level, with a spotlight on Alsatian ingredients and specialties. We took advantage of their wine list, which offers Alsatian varietals by the pitcher or glass, to compare Riesling against Pinot blanc and Muscat. The pitcher of Riesling (50 cl. for 10.80â¬) was excellent.

Very good choice of products, food was also very good.I found the menu a bit all the same for the evening, just basically beef on the main dishes but, all was indeed very yummy.Kids friendly as well, parking on site but if you come from the downtown you'll miss the Parking sing as it's cover by a tree.Worth paying a visit for all the above and very friendly service.

Very nice restaurant! We came at 19.30 and got table without reservation but at 21 the restaurant was already full so maybe you need to reserve the table. We had salad and foie gras for starter, veal for main course and beautiful dessert of ice cream, mud cake and cream. All dishes were really good, tasty and came fast. Wine was good and service excellent, our waiter spoke good English and we knew what we ordered. Just perfect dinner for our last evening in France!

Despite arriving without a reservation on a weekend evening, we were given a great welcome. The restaurant team are all clearly well-trained, good- humoured professionals who understand and love good cuisine. Their attention to detail in every aspect of customer service makes us want to return as soon as we can. Excellent food and wine served in an airconditioned restaurant where both French and German are spoken. An unexpected thunderstorm involved a willing team of helpers from the kitchen to assist in the outside dining area clean up operation. No guest was neglected during the process.

Everything in the shop comes from within 10km from local juices and craft beers to the proprietor's own wines. Very friendly service, good recommendations on local drinks to try and convenient location on a quiet square near the Bibliotheque Humaniste. Recommended.

After all this positive words in here, we decided to visit this restaurant. We were truly disappointed. First- the food was in really mini- portions and to the main dish you got only "a French baguette" (waiter let us know that it's not "only" a baguette BUT A BAGUETTE- as it would be the best thing in our main dish...) - no potatoes, rice or anything like that. Food was quite okay but our steaks were not cook as we like it- nobody asked us how we would like to have it and we forgot to say. After our really polite remark that they should ask clients about it, we got an long explanation how IT SHOULD be cooked... Well, I think if you pay so much money for the food you should have the opportunity to choose it... No more comment needed, i think... Anyway- it was far away from "WOW"... And I think we won't come back there as here are so many much better restaurants where you'll pay the same money for 1st- better service, 2nd- better food...
