We were visiting WWII sites in this town on a Sunday and most restaurants were closed so there wasn't much choice. We ordered omelets which came with salads. It was a bit costly for such a simple lunch with a glass of wine for 2 - 45 euros. They also only accept cash.

One advantage of this hotel restaurant is that it was open on a Monday evening when all of the other restaurants we could find in Sainte Mere were closed. We ate there because we had no other choice. The dining room is large and on that occasion noisy because there were one or two large groups being catered for.The food was generally overcooked and not well presented. There is a good car park. This is not a place I will return to.

The atmosphere here is lacking--sterile without a lot of character with the feel of catering to tour buses (there were several very large groups there during our visit). The food wasn't great, but it was better than expected. The menu was quite large and varied. There is even a gift shop attached if you are so inclined.

The burgers made by Big Marcel are excellent, large and juicy with a good variety of ingredients you can choose from served with some lovely chips. You can eat the burger inside the establishment or if not too cold on the terras or have it as a take-away. There is also about 8 different sauces you can choose from to supplement your burger. Recommend to give this a try when in Sainte Mere Eglise and do not want to spend in excess of 15 euro on a meal (including a drink)

Found by accident on a Thursday night & wow! What a happy accident this small restaurant is friendly, reasonably priced with fantastic and an imaginative menu. Primarily there are buckwheat pancakes, however this is not all it does & for those who donât want savoury pancakes there other tasty menu items. I loved the unhurried feel of this place despite being small there was no rush. Do not leave Ste Mere-Eglise without eating here, your tastebuds will thank you.

We stopped here on a tour of Normandy. It is a small cafe with limited seating but wonderful food. We shared the ham and cheese toasted sandwich with fries and salad...very tasty. Beer and a full bar is available. The waitress had limited English but we managed to communicate well. It appears to be a favorite place for locals. It was worth the stop.

Our private guide for our group of 5 suggested this cafe for lunch. It was perfect. The staff speaks/understands English, we were quickly seated. Food was fresh and delicious. They only take cash, but not a problem for us. Easy to find, just on the corner from the church square. Highly recommend.

Called in here as in October several of the recommended eateries were closed on a Saturday. The greeting was typically french slightly surly as was the service throughout. Table they took us to was next to kitchen doors so not good. Food was OK. Therefore somewhat mixed thoughts about this place.

We stopped during a road trip for a quick dinner. The salmon galette was delicious but the chocolate caramel crepe was out of this world. The service was super and our limited French was not a liability. This is a beautiful town to visit.
