We were pleasantly surprised at the high quality, and reasonable prices, for quite good food served in the hotel. We booked hotel for location, close to Verdun and WWI battlefields, not expecting to dine well. But then this is France and good "eats" is taken quite seriously. They have a three course fixed price dinner of only 28 Euros. A real bargain. Bon appetite.

This restaurant reminded me that restaurants are not just where you eat, but where you also experience ; the atmosphere full of arts, nicely decorated to feel the breaths of the Mediterranean made our family anniversary dinner even more special. Delicious, healthy and modern dish were made passionately by an experienced Greek chef, who had previously worked in Greece and in Australia. Their seafood soup with short pasta was especially unforgettable, with his elegant touch of spices. With no doubt there are fine choices of wines+champagnes to accompany their dishes, which you can also buy at a grocery store next to the restaurant. They will kindly give explanations of their menus in English for foreigners. Even though it is not situated in the touristic area, we highly recommend this place. Itâs worth visiting for all gourmets - we would love to come back again even from Japan âï¸ Bravo !Thanks you for your amazing comment see you again

We had a wonderful lunch at the Au Relais de la Foret having called in after visiting local Champagne growers en route. We were warmly welcomed by the owner and had a delicious 4 course lunch. Gizzard salad ,a rich stew with potatoes and cauliflower, cheese followed by fromage blanc. The restaurant was full of families all enjoying the fantastic food and wonderful atmosphere. I recommend the restaurant highly great experience.

Creperie
Better than average, all in all. Very easy and informal, with decent house wines and solid cooking. Had a very enjoyable lunch with my son one winter day. In a town known for pig's feet -- pieds de porc, if you will -- it was nice to get some un-involved but competent fare. Will return and look forward to it.

We found this place on Tripadvisor after discovering that our first choice was closed but we weren't disappointed! On the contrary, my boyfriend had already been to the other restaurant in town popular for the "pied de cochon" but we ended up having a better meal for a better price here :) The restaurant itself is simple but we very much appreciated that all young people work there. Service is good and food also, so highly recommended!

We stayed overnight at the namesake hotel and had the â¬30 four course menu in the restaurant proper, rather than the bistro also available. Cheaper and dearer menus and carte available. A proper meal well served of the kind that is becoming increasingly difficult to find in France these days.Well worth the five or ten minute detour off the Autoroute.
