We have eaten at La Balade Gourmande perhaps10-15 times in the last 2 years and we have never been disappointed. This is one of the best restaurants for miles around, for the quality of the meals, value, the incredibly warm welcome, the quality of the ingredients and the delicious and friendly experience. The setting is enchanting. A must go to restaurant in the Cévennes. Well worth a detour to this beautiful part of France.

Lovely setting right in front of the station. Great food not expensive and excellent waiting staff with prompt attention

Not an exciting menu, very simple preparation, and well over-priced - dinner cost more than our room with just a glass of local wine.

We came to the Bellugues via a Hotel of the same name (they have different owners, but work together) The Hotel arranged a table for us at short notice and we were blown away by the attention to detail and the quality of the food. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about wines and the price you pay is low, a set menu with 5 courses will cost in the region of 25-30 Euros. With a bottle of local wine we paid 52 Euros, and we were very happy, the fact that the restaurant was fully booked for the night with local families and couples is a statement of the quality this place offers. Highly recommended.

Ok big steaks. Good burgers well cooked. Reasonable price. Shame they could not serve it at the same time. Definitely worth a try.

The building used to be the church presbytery with its enclosed garden. We work with local producers and the dishes are all home made. Our choice is to offer only a small variety of dishes with a special attention to the quality and presentation. We speak
My husband and I ate lunch here today. It is just the perfect place. Quiet, quaint and beautifully framed with a gorgeous garden back drop.We both had Plat du jour, it was a chicken salad, served with pomme de terre and was thoroughly delicious. The food was of a high quality and it was obvious that it had been lovingly prepared. The welcome we received on arrival was cheerful, warm and genuine.Wine is served by the glass and was also delicious. The crockery, glasses and cutlery are quality, which I always think makes a restaurant stand out. Toilets are also outstanding.Quite simply, if you are in St. Jean Du Gard it is a must visit. Quality food and brilliant value for money.Madam,Thanks for your lovely message. We appreciate you have had a nice time in our restaurant. We do our best to please you and care for the food in your plate, and also for the environnement. We'll be pleased to have you again for dinner !Au Jardin du Musée Team.

This is a small family run restaurant just off from the town centre which offers great food. It is always worth trying the lunchtime menu which varies and is very generous. A good place to visit on market day as it is slightly off the beaten track. The staff are very friendly and attentive.

Went here with my mum, brother, sister in law and their three kids (2, 4, and 6). It was a great restaurant experience, and *all* the staff (including manager) looked after us amazingly. Very professional but not formal, flexible, and full of genuinely helpful suggestions. The best service I've ever had. The food was a bit underwhelming, I'll confess, but fine. The setting and overall experience were so good that it still means five stars in my book...

We ate here twice. The first night was the best - huge perfectly cooked swordfish steak, and beautiful chicken with a mushroom sauce. The price fixe is excellent value at 13.90 for three generous portions. The second evening service was equally fantastic but both our duck and steak were rather overcooked, served with a divine pepper sauce nevertheless. We would definitely go again.

Don't be put off by the plastic tables and slightly cheap-looking sign. This place is great. The food was tasty, fresh and nicely presented, and the young waitress and waiter super-friendly and efficient. She welcomed us warmly when I enquired whether it was OK for us to come with our dog and was attentive and casually efficient throughout. Even the decaff coffee was excellent. Definitely deserves its high rating on Tripadvisor.
