Home-cooked : Galettes, pizzas, pancakes and house meals. Galette 100% Sarrazin flour (gluten free, traces possible) and gluten-free pizza (possible traces).
The big problem with trip advisor. This place is a solid 3.5... Good. Better than Average, but not very good. Service was excellent, bilingual staff, and super quick, but then you get the feeling that is the m.o. given it's superb location on the square and wanting to keep the covers turning over. Savoury Crepes and pizza's were all very good. Salads served to other tables looked fab too. Their pistachio ice cream is one of the best I've had in France. So location is fab, service is good and food is good. So why not very good... Simply put... The price. Due to its location on the square you are in the 'tourist trap'. To be fair, we knew this when we grabbed a table. We've previously wandered down into the streets and grabbed sarnie's or panini's at much more reasonable prices but you are paying for a great location with some ambience. I'd certainly eat here again and can recommend, but just expect those slightly inflated prices. Thank you very much for your appreciations, we are happy that you had a good time on our terrace and that our pancakes and our pizzas pleased you. We try to book a friendly welcome to our customers even if sometimes we are a little jostled. Our establishment is not a tourist trap far from it, but you understand very well that it is more expensive to take a tea near the Windsor castle than in the suburb of Sheffiel, the price of the location under the plane tree, is not negligible. We'll be pleased to receive you again

Far from the crowd, the restaurant is located near the parking area. The service is friendly and efficient. The food was extremely tasty and appealing. Especially the fois gras salade, écrevisse gratin, filet mignon white truffles.. thank you for this lunch ds un petit coin de paradis :)

St Guilhem le Désert is a jewel not to be missed when you are so close by, as we were. With its impressive Plane tree which towers over the village square, it is extremely popular and is therefore very busy throughout the summer. As we left the main car park I spotted a sign which said if you wanted to take lunch in calm surroundings, look for restaurant Bon Moment, just off the main square. Once we hit the crowds I almost forgot about the sign, but as we are not crowd lovers my husband headed into one of the first narrow streets he came to and it was here, as we stepped back to let a group pass, that I noticed the sign over the doorway Le Bon Moment. Luckily there were still free tables, as the place is very small. It is difficult to recall exactly what we ate now, but I do know that it was all freshly cooked to order in a little open kitchen, which you passed en route to the tables. Pork in lavender cream sauce was the main course which was unusual, but delicious. Service was quick and friendly and prices were incredibly good for the meal we had. It's tempting to go to the busy restaurants in the square, in the shade of the magnificent Plane tree, but if you prefer something a littler quieter, take a Moment to look up Le Bon Moment, you won't be disappointed

The Cafe/Salon de The is situated on a beautiful covered terrace. The Proprietor seemed a little hesitant when we first arrived, but after we got seated everything improved a thousandfold! The place seems to be run by a middleaged couple. They serve mainly Teas and cakes, but also wonderful salads and house wine for lunch. The salads were Beautiful, and served with a home-made vinegarette that was absolutely wonderful! And the owner was SO sweet and helpful.

We decided to go to the beautiful village of St Guilhem le desert on an impulse, so hadn't decided where to eat. That was easily decided when we saw this restaurant with an eating deck perched 100' above the Herault river (which is also great for canoeing on!).We all had the Bistrot menu of a salad and main course - and all by chance selected the tarragon chicken - nice and succulent and very flavourful. The choice on this menu was limited, but there should be something for all tastes. We had excellent service throughout and the owner was very friendly - being early in the year the village was not populated by tourists, so we had a great day out - not sure what it will be like in August :)I would definitely recommend coming to this village, and also to this restaurant.

Traditional Mediterranean cooking.
Waiters are all lovely - friendly and helpful - happy to speak English but also very pleasant if you want to make them suffer your appalling attempts at their language. Manager clearly has his own opinion of the English, which only perpetuates the stereotypical view of the non chalant Frenchman - Iâm not looking for American style service but a smidge more humanity and a smidge less âgruffâ wouldnât do any harm. The whole village is v expensive, given its âheritageâ status and the prices at this place are no exception. Food is better than at some of the other restaurants here.Food was simple but very nice. Foie gras, smoked trout - all good. Cuttlefish was tasty. Pleasant side vegetables. Nice grilled steak. Pudding good. Coffee tasted of coffee! ...unlike the cafe in the main square which tasted of nothing.Location is lovely - beautiful stone courtyard. Definitely recommend.

In the heart of the most beautiful village of Languedoc Roussillon, the hotel-restaurant "la taverne de l'escuelle" welcomes you all year since 1968 with rooms with various decoration and a personalized welcome. The restaurant offers all day specialties:
I have visited a few times with family and friends. Always very accommodating, even when very busy. Very attentive serving staff, no problem with children (even when mine wanted to scream the place down). The Andouillette was about the best I have tasted, you must try it if you go.Bonjour, merci d'avoir pris le temps de laisser votre avis.Toute l'équipe vous souhaite une très belle année 2017.

The place is "okay", nothing more, nothing less.We ate something there, which wasn't memorable, we drank something, which wasn't extraordinary. The staff is friendly but not going out of their way for you.

Walking up a steep cobbled lane in Saint-Guilhem-le-Desert I came upon a tiny little sandwich shop/bistro. The wife runs the little front end and the husband prepares the food. They specialize in wonderful sandwiches, quiche, and deserts. We drank a lovely local rose while having a superb lunch. The gorgeous medieval village is a "Plus beau Villages de France" or one of France's most beautiful towns! Great spot worth a visit in this beautiful region of the Languedoc.

We came on a rainy Sunday. Got in just ahead of the crowd. The owner waitress was great fun. Wonderful food. Lamb's brains? Yes and good. Great selection of food and wine. Great for families. The town is unreal. I would come again and stay for weeks. YUM!!
