We arrived at Les Thermes, without having booked, and finding most other restaurants closed (it was July 14th.) From the outside, it looks a rather unprepossessing bar/brasserie and our expectations for lunch were not high. In fact, we were delighted and thoroughly recommend the place. The owners were extraordinarily welcoming and genuinely friendly, chatting before and after the meal and serving attentively but unobtrusively throughout. We both ate from a menu - just plat and dessert - which, although I can't recall the exact price, was very reasonable. The emphasis is on galettes and crêpes (the owner/chef-cuistot is breton) and my partner's smoked salmon galette and crêpe pommes au caramel were very much liked - generous portions, tasty, fresh ingredients and nicely-presented. I had a perfectly-cooked entrecôte with excellent, crispy chips and a simple ice-cream to finish. Coffee and tea were both good and cider and (a really good) red wine were available by bottle or bolée/glass. Les Thermes has no pretensions and is all the better for that. But, when I step back and consider the quality of the cooking and the welcome, it is impossible to find fault. At the price, I think the place is unbeatable. If you want a good meal, in a friendly ambience and, moreover, very close to the centre of Rochefort (La Corderie is at five minutes' walking distance), with parking almost next door, you will not be disappointed.

The Restaurant O'gabier and all his crew welcome you on its site. Everyone is on board, the tour can begin! Wishing you a pleasant visit by browsing our pages, we will be happy to welcome you to our table and to serve you a good meal.
O' Gabier is situated at a very small, 'picture postcard' like Marina, main seating is outdoors. We had Moules Au Rochefort to start, served in the traditional black enamel pot, they were to die for good! Then we chose the Sole, simply grilled, came with roasted veg and fries, that was delicious too, and the veg was cooked to perfection....we skipped dessert and went straight for coffee and Liquors. We had a bottle of Dry Muscadet wine which was excellent, (French wine is our favourite) it's not reasonably priced, it cost â¬49 each for two courses, without the wine, we paid â¬26.30.Fab dining experience, all aspects of... But beware of Mosquitos they ate us alive so remember to use repellent!

Creperie traditionnelle bretonne et saladerie, établissement ne comptant que 20 places, la réservation est conseillée
The crêpes were beautifully presented and also absolutely delicious. Good efficient service. Our small dog was given a bowl of water and there . Overall very friendly atmosphere and the owner kindly took pictures of our family meeting for us.

Brilliant but limited menu - I canât complain about the food, and they dealt with allergies easily, they also gave the children food Iâd be happy to eat myself (always a plus!) but the menu was quite restrictive. The wine was fabulous though. It doesnât do itself justice from the outside I would say that, it has a lovely atmosphere inside. Happily come back here again.

Très bonnes galettes, très bonne crêpes, très bon cidre et très bon service. La qualité des années passées est conservée. La salle est claire et propre.

You can tell an excellent restaurant if they have interesting starters as they require a little more finesse and imagination a seaweed s most restaurants have similar main dishes often generic in their product and presentation the exception being high end restaurantsThis restaurant did not disappoint - we had three starters all reasionably priced and of highest quality - hot oysters in a seaweed cream sauce, hot and cold foie gras to name twoIt is a small seating space and so is intimate and the service very personalCan only recommend

Our second visit to this restaurant. This time for dinner. The food was excellent and the service also. We drank a very agreeable Charentais Sauvignon Blanc. The lunch menu is extraordinarily good value. It is essential to book in advance.

Charlotte et Cédric vous proposent des produits frais et de saison, en accordant une attention particulière aux produits locaux.
We booked this restaurant as it seemed to have good reviews on TripAdvisor but we were left disappointed. The outside seating area is on the road with no view. No bread was offered with the starter and when asked for it finally arrived half way through eating the main course. The restaurant was busy but the server seemed more interested in giving people different wines to taste before they made their choice? My main was some lovely fresh shrimp with a ginger sauce but on trying to eat them with a knife & fork found they werenât peeled or de-veined - yuk!! I left feeling hungry!I'm sorry that your experience in our restaurant was not up to par. Having only recently opened our restaurant, I was taken by surprised by the number of eager diners on this particular evening and I have to admit that my service was not as I would have liked it to be. We can only learn from our errors so I appreciate you having taken the time to express your discontent, it will help me as both a business owner and a waitress. Our restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor dining. While we are not blessed with a fabulous view (we are street-facing), we try to make both the diners inside and outside as comfortable as possible. If ever a diner is not pleased with his or her table either inside or outside, we are more than happy to move them should space be available. While I do disagree with the remarks made concerning the quality of the food, I still take them to heart and should you decide to give us another chance, I would look forward to the opportunity to show you that your comments were not made in vain.Charlotte & Cédric

The name of the restaurant is a pun as it is at number 68 on Thiers(thirds) street. Hence the title of my review, not just 68 2/3 but full marks!A simple but comfortable decor, a short and inexpensive menu du jour, very good cooking and excellent service. Everything is fresh and home made, with nice touches: smoked salmon was dressed with toasted sesame seeds, salmon fillet was accompanied by linguine. The chef proprietor came out regularly to see that everyone was content. It is easy to find, near the tourism office and the big free car park.dear custumer THANK YOU !!!hoping to see you soon in our place for a dinner or a brunch on saturdays from 10 am

We enjoyed great food and good local wine sitting on the terrace watching the estuary turn rose, pink and red as the sun set like a Charentaise melon on the horizon. A fabulous way to spend our last evening in the Charente Maritime region. The chef and his wife were very welcoming.Thank you for these nice compliments. We will be happy to welcome you back to our establishment.See you soon !Best regardsCatherine & Pascal
