Laid back service does not come more carefree or laid back than here.Sat for 15 minutes before being served - had to go in inside the end.Not cheap beer - 4.50 Eurp each for a 500ml glass (see photo).Still nice location on one of the Squares in Quillan - nice spot on a sunny day.2278OOS

After a very long travel day I checked in to this hotel and had a light and delicious dinner.The menu is really interesting, I only had an entrée, a cheering glass of the Blanquette de Limoux ( the original French sparkling wine, according to some) and a delicious glass of red wine. I watched other diners enjoy beautiful looking dishes, one couple had cassoulet, the portions were very generous and they seemed to be very happy with their choice.!Staff was very friendly and welcoming and they spoke English and even offered a menu in English. Lovely place. Great food. Relaxed ambience. Merci!

A delicious meal, fresh produce, well cooked and all the charm you would want in a traditional French bistro. The owners/staff are friendly and welcoming. We had the menu de jour, mine -warm goats cheese salad, grilled lamb with wild rice and vegetables then creme brûlée. Three course Meal for two with a pitcher of wine and coffee less than 40 Euro,

Arrival at this holiday camp made us think we'd made a very bad decision. The reception area confirmed that. However, the food was well cooked and presented and good value. Service was also very good and it's going to be one of very few places open on a Monday evening. Good local wine choices at good value prices. Le Brantalou restaurant is located inside Vayamundo Quillan l'Espinet holiday resort, it is however open to everybody. Large old-fashioned dining room. We sat near an open window near flowering shrubbery, so it was very pleasant. Husband ordered Vietnamese set menu and thought it was very good. Service could have been better, especially getting our check. We had to go to the hotel desk and waited about 15 minutes while the man was talking with another guest, not even acknowledging our presence - pretty rude.

After a long drive in torrential rain, we were desperate for a meal. Restaurant Canal did not disappoint. We had confit de canard at E13.00. Included potatoes, grilled tomato and mushrooms set in egg. Really delicious and well presented. Also glass of red @ E3 per glass was very acceptable. Service spot on, and lovely staff. Would use again like a shot.

Three of us (including one vegetarian)had an excellent lunch. We went for the crepes and were very glad we did. Both savoury and sweet were fine, as was the apple crumble! Also prompt, friendly and helpful service despite our rudimentary French. Very reasonably priced - under 50 euros for two courses and drinks for 3.

Absolutely superb experience! Warm welcome. Service professional and friendly. Food delicious. We opted for the set menu, Le Galerie. Blanquette de Limoux to accompany each course. Reasonably priced. Thank you. We loved everything about Le Galerie. Highly recommended.

We visited in the evening, the restaurant looked very inviting. The meal was average and the service was disappointing. The waiter asked many guests if they were happy with their meal, we were not asked, and he was completely uninterested and unapologetic about the piece of plastic found in my meal. A simple apology would have resulted in a second visit from us and a recommendation to friends......we will not return and will definitely not be recommending this restaurant.
