Easy to find in the centre of Provins. We were one of three other occupied tables so there wasn't much in the way of atmosphere. Straightforward menu reasonable food but the presentation was a bit basic A sort of chips with everything sort of place One tomato as the photo suggestsService was friendly and efficient

A great place to have an inexpensive and tasty lunch in the historic town of Provins, France.
While visiting the charming medieval town of Provins was in itself very interesting and worthwhile, the highlight of our day trip from Paris was lunch and later, dessert, at La Fleur de Sel, located right on the town square (Le Chatel). We were so looking forward to sampling a Crepe Bretonne and were not disappointed. Our crepes were delicious, well presented, and more than filling. What made this experience even more meaningful was the attentiveness and charm of the new owner, Virgil Le Dreff. He went out of his way to explain the crepes to us, was happy to answer all our questions, and even offered to drive us back to the train station after our dessert crepe in the early evening (no buses after 2:30 p.m. in the off season). He is passionate about his restaurant and even more so about providing above the norm service to his clients. Where else would you find this kind of attention? Call ahead if you wish at 01 6400 2634.

Found L'Appart on a very wet Monday when most of the restaurants were closed. The "complet" menu was good with three courses. Salad with roasted vegetables, beef steak and potatoes and a small cold sweet.Good value for money but have had better in other places.Would like to give it more than "average" but cold not go as far as "very good".

Dans La Rue Principale De L'entrée Dans La Vieille Ville
This is a very nice estaurant in the rather unpreposeesing town of Choisy en Brie, serving interesting and well-prepared food servd in a modern ambience in a very old building. One ot the better meals we had during our two week trip in France.

At first glance, this seems like your average bistro, with a red façade and a nice terraceâ¦. Except that itâs just the opposite! At Les Bistrophiles, David and Isabelle Romaska are hiding a real treasure trove of carefully chosen French products. Including: white wine from the Coteaux de Suresnes for the chicken terrine; goat cheese from the Pamfou farm â who also supply the Ãlysée Palace! â for the salad; Provins mustard and new potatoes from Essonne to eat with the âcat tongueâ Salers steak; a Nemours poppy syrup drizzled over the iced parfaitâ¦. And donât forget about the épicerie corner, filled with other great finds: rose honey from Carla Renault, saffron from Morteryâ¦. To drink, thereâs a beautiful selection of local blonde beers, like La Briarde, or an amber beer from Thomas Becket of the Brasserie Larché in Sens (â¬4.60 for 33 cl). Menus â¬14.90 to â¬25, kids â¬9.50, à la carte â¬27-44. // R.deC.

The restaurant "IL ÃTAIT UNE FOIS..." located on the ground floor of the house STELLA CADENTE. Guests can choose between the cosy atmosphere of the dining room or perhaps prefer the charm of the verdant garden. They can have breakfast, lunch, Dinner, brun
Without trip advisor we would not have found this lovely romantic restaurant full of quirky vintage furnishings. We started with a glass of champagne enhanced with a dash of rose essence. Our charming waitress helped out our small amount of French to bring us delicious food from the set menu, served on beautiful old tableware. Thank you.

It seems to be the oldest French restaurant - open since 1270 :-)Ancient building, richly decorated interior, excellent service. Not too expensive for such a special restaurant - the cheapest menu only costs 19 euros per person! The cuisine could be more interesting though - therefore, as for the food, nothing is really worth mentioning. However, if you have a chance to come to the charming town of Provins, we would strongly recommend to have a meal at this restaurant which is a kind of a local curiosity.

VThis is a very special restaurant. Don't come here if your meal must have kilos of steak or large fish, for this, in lowland Coulommiers, serves the specialities of the Alpine mountains. It is managed by a chaming and delightful woman, determined to ensure that you meal is excellent and your evening memorable. We had booked for one of the hottest evenings of the summer, but a cool fan was directed towards us, and a good thing too, as Madame quickly produced a multi-tiered raclette cooker. This was accompanied by vast plates of various cheeses, salami, sausage, potatoes and salad etc., all to be topped up frequently. It was a delicious and very filling meal we shall long remember.
