Visited brasserie saint Louis with my husband and parents on a Thursday evening for a nice relaxed meal out. The service was amazing, so polite, attentive and our waiter tried very hard to use his English for us. The chef also wished us a happy meal personally. The food was amazing a 3 course menu with great local wine was excellent value and so tasty. We would highly recommend this restaurant!

Lovely restaurant with plenty of charm and character. Food was delicious, generous portions and well presented. Very nice shaded terrace and a warm welcome from the owners. Highly recommended.

Local, fresh and seasonal food... set menu at midday and in the evening try our 3 sharing Platters (why not try out our vegan platter) ... mézzé... As well as several specials. Delicious homemade desserts and local artisan ice cream. Reservation is highly
I had a wonderful lunch here with friends. The food was good and the dessert delectable. We all chose the "entree" (starter in English) dessert menu. Which was just the right amount of food for lunch. I would recommend this restaurant

This was a good restaurant, friendly staff and reasonably priced good food. To counter the comment below; I like the French work life balance and not having to work 24/7 just to make a wealthy person richer. The people in France have a higher standard of living than many richer countries; I think this more important than the unequal society you seem to prefer.

I would not have known about this Restaurant had I not been introduced to it by the management of l'Hotel des Chataigniers. They refer their half pension customers to this excellent establishment where Chef Nico and his very professional staff create a daily menu for the patrons of his neighbors.Chef Nico is an artist, providing customized dishes equal to anything in 4 and 5 stars hotels, even for his low budget customers. Once, I had roasted Ardeche beef steak in a special jus accompanied by grilled vegetables from the local region. It was marvelous! Another time, I tried the magret de canard (duck breast) grilled in its own juices with seasonal vegetables (the green asparagus was so delicious that I doubled my order). My friend, who does not like red meat, got a seafood parillada consisting of a variety of seafood presented on a sizzling hot plate that included cod, sea bass, salmon, and shrimp. She gave it a big thumbs up. For dessert, we had vanilla ice cream with blueberries and chestnuts and mi-cuit chocolate with homemade whipped cream and almonds.C'est du bon travail, Chef Nico, et a bientôt (Very good work, Chef Nico, and see you soon!

We ate lunch here recently, just happening to notice the Auberge sign around lunchtime and needing a break from driving. What a delightful surprise to find ourselves in a top quality restaurant with friendly and helpful staff. We chose the menu of the day which was Cream of Celeriac Soup garnished with smoked salmon, the "fish" option - grilled fish with a white wine sauce and vegetables, and braised pears with chocolate for dessert. The dishes were prepared perfectly and were beautifully presented and the price - â¬18 - extremely reasonable. The wine we chose was of excellent quality and value. We enjoyed our visit and are very happy to recommend this lovely restaurant.

A very agreeable experience of eating here in this charming unpretentious restaurant on our last 2 nights in Privas. The menu was short but with a nice selection of tasty bistro dishes made using local, and seasonal produce. The clientele was friendly and we engaged in conversation. Their salads were very fresh, tasty and substantial. The local wine tasted good - their puff pastry of scallops with leek fondue was great â their prices are very competitive with daily special (formule du jour) at 14 euros and desserts at 4,50 euros. A real discovery and a resto to recommend.

La Boria really stands out above the ardeche crowd. Modern cuisine, surprising dishes from start to finish, all cooked with lovely local products. An asset to Privas. Dejeuner du Jour was truly magnificent, with unrivaled value.
