A group of us visited for a meal on a Friday evening, and what a Brilliant night it was!We had a set meal with wine and it was excellent. Served and prepared by Fleur the owner and accompanied by a great band playing in the bar. A truly atmospheric and magical evening. We will be back!

This review would be for the restaurant as opposed to the hostelrie itself - the food was great value and the service fantastic - keen to recommend it!
A damp evening in Prats de Mollo was brightened up by our recent visit to this family run restaurant. The welcome was genuine, and the service pleasantly informal and friendly. We had lunch here last year, sitting at the outside tables but, on a cool evening were pleased to take advantage of the interior, which was warmed by the wood fired pizza oven.As it was outside the main tourist season the restaurant was quiet, indeed there appear to be more diners around Prats at lunchtimes than evenings, when the daytrippers have left. The restaurant offers several menus or A La Carte, and we opted for the 3 course formule at 13 euros, which gave three or four choices per course. In our case, a Charcuterie starter was followed by Steak Frites, and rounded off with Creme Catalan (the Catalan take on Creme Broule). With coffees and a litre of house wine, the bill for the two of us came to around 40 euros - decent value we thought. The food was well prepared and tasty, and we look forward to our another visit. Perhaps next time we will try one of the pizzas from the pizza oven.

Accueil chaleureux autour des produits maison avec les propriétaires et autres locataires des gîtes. Moment convivial permettant d'échanger sur la région.

Walking up The Valley from Lamanère , through a wood abundant with mushrooms and wild flowers , we came across the Ermitage at the top of a track, 500 meters off the GR 83. The original building has been restored as a hostal with many of the unique historic features maintained and access to the restored chapel, well worth a visit. The views across the mountains are breathtaking and there is a real sense of calm. The evening meal was superb and the hosts were very flexible to ensure that all dietary needs were catered for. the accommodation is very clean and comfortable with efficient hot water and access to drinks outside of meal times. It is perfect for large groups as well as single travellers.Isobel and Frank, who are warm and hospitable have set themselves a challenge, but this place has huge charm and is wonderful value for the treat that it is.The access track (4K) needs careful negotiation at points if you have a low suspension car, but it is worth the effort and no problem at all if you are walking, either up to the road or walking on towards the Coll dâAres. We plan to return again and again

We have lived in the area for 10 plus years and this is our favourite restaurant in Prats .The restaurant is fairly small, but Patrick is an accomplished chef, and you can rely entirely on his dishes of the day, which normally show great creativity. If you just want a burger and chips or a sandwich or any other simple meal you will be well provided for.The prices are reasonable and normally the service is friendly and swift.A good place to bring the family.

Had a lovely lunch here. Found it very reasonable - 11.50 euros for a starter and main course. Opted for the dish of the day - marmite au poissons. Turned out to be a sort of fish hotpot which arrived in a big pot for 4 of us to share. Delicious! Prawns, mussels, big pieces of fish and squid rings with potatoes. Staff were very friendly. Restaurant was very pretty - in a lovely old square full of flowers. Toilets were superbly clean - a very big plus! Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This is a very special experience. It's small restaurant run by a lovely couple, very attentive to their customers. From anywhere in the restaurant you can watch while the dishes are being prepared, lovingly and with great attention to detail. The choices at lunch are not many, but everything being offered is appealing and interesting. This is not heavy or fatty food; there are no fried or greasy dishes on the menu. The emphasis is on fresh vegetables and creative presentations. We loved it all. If we lived nearby, we'd eat here every week.

This is a serious restaurant specialising in local produce with a big local wine list. Although quite expensive by local standards it is easily as good as many top London restaurants at a quarter of the price. Only non-local offering is the aperitif champagne which is anonymous but excellent.
