Travellers in the beautiful Alsatian countryside, seek out "auberge", the little family inns that dot the roadsides, to eat well and enjoy the scenery. They know they will find fine food and glowing spirits, at an excellent value. Welcome to L"Auberge Che
To me, little things matter when fine dining. Two of us dining and we were sat at a table set for four. Waited for the table to be cleared of additional seating while we sat at the table without even water. As courses were served, some were served before the previous course dishes were removed .... made serving a bit awkward. Ok, I am at a very fine dining place and I am being picky, but I even had to pour my own water from a pitcher left at the table. Just not the fine dining experience I have had in the past ..... and we have been going here for decades. What has changed?

Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a more formal dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. Diners enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes accompanied by local wine in a warm and relaxing atmosphere.Jacq
What a lovely surprise for visitors to the area. Food was fabulous and it was a little snug for space but that only added to the ambience. This restaurant is a gem. Thanks for a great experience.

GO FOR THE POPOVERS with home made jam...that is all you need in this world...Mmmmmm!!! Although their Sunday Brunch is a bit pricey, their spread is WELL WORTH IT! The variety is incredible and tasty. Every eating style is addressed, whether you are a vegetarian or meat lover. An incredible assortment of well-prepared foods...you'll go back for seconds, and try for thirds! A fair amount of parking, with a wheel-chair accessible entrance on the side, but you MUST call ahead and let them know if you need to use the side entrance. Accessible bathrooms is on the upper level of the split foyer, and the dining beautifully rustic decorated dining area is on the lower level. My family & friends gather here on special occasions, or just when we really want to treat ourselves to a spectacular dining experience. IT IS INCREDIBLY POPULAR & FILLS UP FAST, SO GO EARLY & MAKE RESERVATIONS. "Popovers w/jam" ⦠enough said. Enjoy! :-D
