This is a busy little restaurant, very good for families. For a creperie it is quite expensive if you choose one of the award winning creations, but I'm not sure the prices reflect the cost of ingredients. I had a galette Montagnarde which had smoked bacon, comte cheese and onions and was served with a dish of salad leaves. My husband had a Bergere which comprised of sliced smoked duck, goats cheese and orange segments also served with a dish of salad leaves. Service with a smile but could be quicker. Not a lot of parking outside but there is a public car park near the shoe shop and Citroen garage within walking distance.

Six of us visited La Radeau for an evening meal and weren't disappointed. The restaurant opens for a couple of hours at lunchtime then closes for the afternoon and doesn't start serving evening meals until around 7pm. Closed on Thursdays. Having seen how busy it was at lunch we decided to book a table for the evening session and just as well because within 20 minutes of us arriving for our 7pm booking all the tables were taken mainly by locals which was a good sign. We received a warm welcome by the staff who didn't really speak any English but with our smattering of French and smiles all round we managed to decipher the menu. Their speciality is pizza of which there are around a dozen to choose form (including a kebab pizza?) plus a childs version in the shape of a fish which pleased our 5 year old grandson. for those that didn't fancy a pizza there was a choice of three or four other items. We were served quickly , two of our party electing for the steak and the rest having pizza. These were of a high quality with a very generous topping on a very thin base that resembled filo pastry. Altogether we thought our meal to be good value and would certainly visit again.

Although the restaurant was 45 kms. from our hotel, the hotel highly recommended the restaurant. It was well worth the trip. The huge picture windows overlooked the English Channel. The staff although limited in the English language tried to be as helpful as possible. Having said that we were served a lovely meal.

In an area with several good restaurants Primel Cafe fits well in the group, but has the best view of the lot. The food is good, and they have something for the vegetarians as well. Seafood there is main fare, but the burger is also good.Go when there is a rising tide and you can snap some nice pics of the rocky coast and Le Diben pier.

If there is one place to sample proper breton country fayre it is this place if you can find it. Go at lunchtime and it is likely to be full so book ahead. Full of locals and visitors who come to eat the one choice lunch menu for about 20 euros - an outstanding bargain. Been twice - first time we had epic roast pork with apples - this time the famous kig-a farc - a french sort of pot au feu and a speciality of the region. Went last week and sat down to find a kir breton waiting for us and a bottle of cider and a carafe of wine and a carafe of water(these are refilled if you run out!). First course is a broth made from the liquid they cooked the meat in and this had the addition of bread. Second course was 1/2 a charentais melon filled with breton licqueur - very nice. Main course was the magnificent kig a farc which contained a lump of tender beef, a lump of pork, potatoes , vegetables , two types of the farc( like a dumpling cooked in a muslin bag with the meat and some sausage and some sauce - epic. Dessert was phar breton - like a custard tart with prunes and followed by a bowl of coffee. Service was brisk throughout and mostly by family members. The restaurant which is very nicely decorated in rustic breton style has been in the same family for generations and the matriarch came round and chatted to all the tables. Do not miss it if you are in this part of brittany - I suspect you will be the only british there also. After the meal we met the chef who was there to loan us boats to try to catch trout on the nearby lac de michel - home to the european beaver and some very large trout.

This was our second visit to Au Gouter Breton, the first being for a 'cafe langues' meeting, and dinner. The traditional Breton meals and crepes are excellent, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. Both meals were delicious. There is free parking across the street from the restaurant, and it open on Sunday's without interruption. We look forward to stopping in again in warmer weather and sitting outside.

When booking this auberge, we had hoped to be located along the sea, in a quiet section of the coast. We also hoped for a restaurant with a nice view and good food. We were not disappointed. Since we were staying here, we were given a wonderful table that looked onto the sea. It was great watching the tide recede. The woman that runs the establishment is incredibly nice and attentive. She also made our dinner very pleasant, including putting up some lace so that the bright sun was not pounding me in the eyes as it moved toward sunset. The food was well prepared (surprisingly we did not have fish) and nicely presented. It was also delicious. Great view, great food, great service and you may walk upstairs after the meal to lay down your head. How could one ask for more.

We live nearby La Maison de Kerdies, but had not been there before having a group dinner with friends from Café Langues. The formule meals were good value for money, delicious, and presented very nicely. The service was also very good, and many photos were taken of the sunset across the bay.

Our Cuisine: The spirit of welcome has permeated the very essence of the Grand Hotel des Bains since its origin. As a family run hotel, we want our guests to feel really at home here. We like the good things in life, and we like to share them with our gue
WE ate here twice. We only wanted to eat here once but had to a second time as the other restaurants in the port were closed on a Monday. Both meals were superb: French cuisine of the highest order with service to match, but not the overly superior style you used to get but professional and friendly and very much in the old-school style. Decent choice on the menu (but seafood didn't feature as highly as it could have done) with dished prepared with flair and style, well cooked using the best produce. Ample space between tables. The set menu was 39 Euros and represented very good value for money considering. Comfortable bar with roaring fire (most of the time in the evening) even in the summer.Dear Captain Picard,Thank you very much for your kind review, and thank you also for sharing it with the world! We are pleased to read you have recognized and enjoyed our fine cuisine, in a good atmosphere. We do have to admit that sometimes we use the fireplace in the summer time. Brittany...We are looking forward to welcoming you back soon. Please receive our Best Regards,Amaury LEGRAND
