Things to do in Peronne
If you're touring the Somme, this is a really delightful place to stop for lunch. The food is impeccably french and incredibly delicious. The service is excellent and the restaurant is obviously well used by the locals. Excellent value and well worth a stop.
Came across this delightful little crêperie whilst visiting the Historial de la Guerre museum. Bright modern interior, interesting menu and very welcoming host. I ordered a galette Complete which was only â¬6.50. Very quick service and delicious food. Very clean toilets. Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes traditional Breton crêpes and would certainly return if visiting Peronne in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed the Plat du Jour, which was of a generous size and very good home cooking. The situation, a side road off Rue Georges Clemenceau does not look inviting, don't be put off, it's well worth visiting.

Went here while traveling through France. The busiest eating place in town, had to reserve our seats for lunch!!! No wonder, the food was excellent and cooked to perfection. We had the beef in sauce with a mustard sauce, potatoes and vegetables. Yum. Check this out.

Don't be put off by the short walk through town to reach the 'Provencal'. Six of us were looking for a new gastronomic experience in Peronne and several locals guided us there - 'Simple mais bien'. Really good home cooking from a large menu, excellent service in a very cheerful atmosphere, and all at a very fair price, including the wine. We would definitely return

It was a nice temperature, so we just sat outside. There are quite a few seats - its a pedestrian area. The guy who served us was friendly..drinks slightly more than others places we'd tried. We would go back

Loved the place. Charming welcome. Nice table set up under trees. The menu board allows a mix of dishes. The food is definitely fresh and home made. Starter main and dessert menu is of great value. The touch of spices gave my dishes a great flavour. The presentation enhanced by petals of flowers was a joy to look at. Highly recommended.

Was the only place avail and open on a Sunday night and was recommended by our B&B. Went for the fixed menu. Good selection of local food and large quantities of food. Kids menu was also good (chicken nuggets and fries). Decent selection of wine. Would recommend if visiting the area but not make a detour though

Last night I was fortunate enough to eat at le Bistrot dâAntoine with my friends. We were a large group, 27, on a battlefield tour. After a busy day visiting the many WW1 sites around Péronne, and the historical de la grande guerre museum, we were greeted with a glass of kir royale and amuse-bouche of small cheese filled choux buns. We had a first course of Ficelle picarde, a savoury pancake filled with mushrooms, cheese and ham with cheese sauce gratin - this was a delicious dish, flavoursome and well cooked. Our main course was sliced tenderloin of pork in a strong cheese sauce served with French fries - again delicious. Dessert was a plate of two slices of gateaux/torte, one chocolate, the other, passion fruit. Iâm not a fan of desserts, but they were popular with my friends! We had house red and white wine throughout the meal, I only tasted the red, which was very good. The meal finished with excellent coffee. Given such a large group, service might have been problematic but the staff at le Bistrot dâAntoine, coped superbly, all the guests being served each course without delay. Bravo, a superb meal, thank you!
