Bref ! Pas sympa ! Pas beau ! Pas bon !

We had a meal of beef brochettes and Telenn Du beer to fuel a 20km hike in the Broceliande Forest. The food and service were excellent. The fries were nothing great but the meat (beef) was spectacular and needed no seasoning nor mustard. Highly recommended!

wow.... where to start?! we were advised this restaurant from the hotel we were staying at, and even though we were tired we still decided to go.... and thankfully I can add!the restaurant is in the middle of nowhere (by the way be careful when you drive at night as there is a lot of wild life around) and it is truly amazing. They have a pretty wide range of choice, products and home made and very fresh and the restaurant itself is very bucolic. Have fun and please try one of the menus, it is worth the money!!

La terrasse de l'Abbaye

We discovered this restaurant when we were taken there by a French friend. You can choose to eat outside under umbrellas or outside under a small marquee. It is table service - and we have always found the staff to be helpful and attentive. As usual, you will be invited to order aperitifs and drinks while you study the menus. The menus are easily understood in my experience, but if you are not familiar with Andouille Sausage, you should be warned that although regarded as a delicacy, it is in fact made from "lights" and has a rubbery texture. The meals are mainly prepared in full view in a barbecue pit, and you collect dishes of sauces from the same place. As usual in France, if you ask for meat to be well done, it arrives medium well done at best. There are pictures on the menu to help you - a brochette is a skewer of meat pieces, onions and peppers, suspended over the plate with your salad and potatoes or frites.By the time you have finished your main course, I feel sure that you will have noticed the desserts being served to other diners. Some of them are enormous, glasses of fruit, ice cream and chantilly, topped with nut and decorated with syrups. The dessert menu is extensive, and we were spoiled for choice, despite earlier visits in the past.If you are passing this restaurant and just want a snack, they serve some, such as Galette Saucisse, and I noticed they were cheaper than most outlets we saw in the whole of our weeks stay in Brittany. My opinion of the prices below is based on value for money and compared to similar outlets.Bonjour,Nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire très agréableAu plaisir, ThanksL'équipe de la terrasse de l'Abbaye

We chose this Crêperie based on its score on TripAdvisor and were not dissappointed. The Dahu Galette served with Guéméné andouille and mustard was very good to begin with. The Crêpe with Caramel salted butter was also very nice. They serve drought cider which complemented very well our dishes.

Le Relais de Broceliande

On recommendation we made a reservation in this restaurant. On arrival, we were directed (by a waitress looking very bored) to an isolated corner of the terrace. Since this was not the most cosy part of the terrace, we asked to have a look inside in order to see if we could find there some more cosiness. At that moment she walked away and didn't come back at all. We left because so much lack of hospitality and unfriendliness we didn't need ....... The restaurant gives the impression that it focusses on the "easy to satisfy tourist".

Restaurant l'Atelier

Visiting family in Brittany we went to L'Atelier, Sister-in-law very excited at going to this newish restaurant. We were welcomed at the door and shown to our table, the place was about half full. The daily menu was on a blackboard with 2 choices of starter, 3 of main and 2 desserts. Starters were salmon, crab mousse and pressed beef with foie gras or cockles in a sauce. I had the salmon, crab and beef, very tasty, my wife had the same. My Brother-in- Law had the cockles which he didn't like. For my main I had cod in a sauce, not spectacular, there was no seasoning in any of the dishes and not a salt or pepper pot to be seen anywhere. The chef obviously thought it wasn't needed. As far as my wife and Sister-in-law were concerned the desserts were the best part of the meal. L'Atelier looks wonderful, the dishes looked good as well but with the lack of seasoning and atmosphere we won't return anytime soon.

We’ve eaten crepes & galettes most days on our 2 week hols in Britanny, & these were hands down the best! Both the sweet & the savory - the crepes themselves & the fillings - sooooooo yummy! Nice busy, buzzy restaurant, with friendly, helpful staff.Decent value. Delicious local cider. Amazing home made salt-caramel

What a lovely village. Very restful and nestled by the lake. This must be the most expensive baguette and coffee we’ve ever had - £18. Coffee comes with a cake (4 euros). Despite thehigh price ( 6 euros ) it tasted amazing and I enjoyed every bite!A bit shocked to see on the menu a beer called F*ck Baby. Following on with that theme our muffins were called Spunk Meyer!Hello HappyTravellers94, thank you for your opinion. However, I think you made a mistake about the rates. Our coffee is at 1 € 40 and we have no cake at 4 €. I invite you to come back to see this error yourselfIn 99% of cases, this beer makes you laugh with its poster and its name.We do not have any muffins called Spunk Meyer ....L'équipe du Pas Sage de Brocéliande
