The chef has a wood fired BBQ and cooks the meat on it = delicious. Surprisingly good food and service and price. The desserts were fantastic.

I was staying next door in Hotel du parc (cheap, quiet, clean, friendly, free wifi) and had dinner here. Food was excellent (fois gras followed by magnet de canard). Manager (or owner?) spoke perfect English (which she offered to do in response to my French :) Expensive perhaps by French standards but well worth it.

This restaurant is located right on the middle of the 'Motor-mile' in Nantes and is surrounded by car dealerships. The building has certainly seen better days and first impressions are certainly not great. However......We attended for a business lunch and were made very welcome. The set menu appeared good value at 25 euro and I opted for Fois Gras followed by Black Angus Fillet. Both dishes where presented impeccably and were delicious. Couldn't find fault with the service or the food.

Family friendly. They know how to handle huge groups. Very happy with the service and food! The restaurant is located next to a big grocery store and nothing interesting to see or visit. Otherwise it would be impossible to reserve a table for 12 ppl!The whole team thanks you for your return and hopes to see you again very soon at the Peau de Vache.We wish you a good day.Best regards

Nous sommes venus dîner au Romarin dans le cadre de l'opération "Tous au restaurant" (1 menu à 49,90⬠acheté = 1 menu offert, hors boissons). On nous a installés à l'étage avec 3 autres couples qui bénéficiaient de la même offre. On sent que la formule est bien rodée afin de minimiser au maximum l'impact du menu offert. Pour commencer, on ne nous a pas proposé de carte pour choisir nos apéritifs. Nous avions le choix entre 3 cocktails à base de crémant à 8,50â¬, point barre. Pour les vins, même entourloupe, on ne nous a pas proposé de voir la carte. 2 verres de vin à 13⬠nous ont été conseillés, presque imposés en fait car il n'y avait pas d'alternative... Clairement le menu concocté uniquement pour cet événement n'était pas à la hauteur de ce que propose habituellement le restaurant sur sa carte. Je pense notamment à l'entrée et au dessert à la pomme, totalement quelconques. Pourquoi participer à l'opération "Tous au restaurant" si vous ne souhaitez pas jouer le jeu? Bref, tellement déçus par le côté "vente forcée" des boissons et la différence de qualité avec la carte classique que nous ne reviendrons pas. Vraiment dommage...

My parents live close.I have been visiting this place many times. I went again today. it is one of the best value for money I know. Today for example four people with a menu as followsLobster as appetizer Turbot as main course or sweetbreadVery refreshing and original deserts with strawberries.An excellent bottle of ChinonCoffee plus a drink before lunch ,plus little extras appetizer before ,little cookies after.The service is excellent.All this for around 240 euros for four.An excellent family owned restaurant.

I was lucky to eat here. This was really the best culinary experience in France until now. The food was delicious, the service and presentation was perfect.I will for sure come again.REALLY RECOMMEND.As an advice, do book in advance if you want to have lunch. Place is always fully booked.

Délicieux de l'entrée au dessert, un prix très raisonnable, des plats savoureux et faits maison. Service agréable. Une formule midi originale façon bento qui permet de goûter à plusieurs entrées et plusieurs desserts. Un goût de "reviens-y" !

Une bonne surprise sur cette cuisine avec du goût et de belles assiettes. Le service est bien pas trop rapide ni trop long et avec le sourire. Le menu à 24 euros est très bien et copieux (entrée /plat et désert) .Je recommande cette bonne table

From day one the experience with this establishment was tarred by rude customer service and unhelpful management. On one occasion we were asked to leave because they were too busy to talk. We had already paid a deposit and were still made to feel like second class citizens. We were given a terrible option for desert (one you would get in a nursing home) and food was given to our guests without being asked beforehand how they would like the meat cooked. We wanted to have a square table but we were told this did not exist for the past 15 years. Upon arrival we saw the room next to ours with square tables!!!! The only saving grace was the waiter who was at all times a pleasure and very professional. I had my wedding reception here and because of my wonderful family and friends I enjoyed myself....no thanks to the chateau.
