Great restaurant with good food, great service and excellent view towards a small lavender field. Fantastic fish dishes and yummy desserts! We stayed at the hotel (which was a disaster - don't stay there) and also had the breakfast in this restaurant. That too was great.

The restaurant inside the smart and luxurious Couvent des Minines hotel has one Michelin star already but on our visit we found the cuisine highly creative and delicious and worthy of a second. The service personnel was very helpful and even brought our car from the car park in the rain. There are a few constraints. Everyone at the table has to have the same menu which might not suit everyone and there is a touch of chichi but we loved it.Dear valuable guest,We are pleased to read your satisfaction about your Experience with us.We really hope to welcome you soonWarm regardsFabien Piacentino

We do a tradional and creative food, with fresh products, we chose them during the season. The meat is from France, the lamb of the district. We selected our wines "of the moment" We want to cook like this or not ! Five hundred meters from the center of F
This was recommended to us by the owner of the hotel we were staying in. I am so glad we took his recommendation. The meal from start to finish was just superb. The staff were so helpful and friendly and there was a nice ambiance inside. If you are visiting Forcalquier, I really suggest you visit. Finish the evening with the selection of deserts with coffee- you will not be disappointed! Thank you so much! I hope to see you again!Sandrine GUAY

Among the limited restaurant offerings in Mane, this is easily the star. A fantastic restaurant. The mussels apetizer was great, and enough to give a good taste to everybody in a family of four. The highly recommended wood-fired pizza was unavailable, but me and my brother had the hamburger, which was unlike any hamburger I've ever had. The meat was really fresh and super high quality, and the inside of the burger was practically raw and super tender. The sauces for the hamburger were great. It was easily the best hamburger I've ever had. The thai food is O.K., but nothing like the French offerings, so it isn't recommended. We didn't get to try the desert offerings, but I'm sure they're excellant. The wine was great and super good value. The restaurant looked amazing on the inside, and with the wood fire on, it must be absolutely fantastic. The wood-fired pizza was only on the weekends, at least during the off season.

Aux 2 Anges is a cozy restaurant (make reservations, as it is small), with a very friendly host, delicious food, and excellent value. They have a small daily menu for an amazing price of 17.5 Euros for a 3-course meal. For our mains, we had excellent beef roulade stuffed with onions and mushrooms, and delicious rabbit in a red wine sauce. We also had half a litre of good house wine for 7 Euros. This was the best value meal in our month-long trip to Provence. It does help to speak a little French as the host does not have much English, but he is always smiling and very keen to be helpful.

Refined menu based on products of the region. Charolais beef, pork and lamb from the region. Outdoor terrace and air conditionned salle. Reservations strongly urged.
My wife and I recently enjoyed a lovely lunch with friends which combined the friendly warmth of Maryvonne and the culinary skills of Marc. There was a good variety of meals and we were all well satisfied with our respective selections. My generous beef dish was cooked exactly as I had requested and the crumble was delicious. Located in the small village of Pierrerue about 5km from Forcalquier I would strongly recommend the drive.Thank you so much for your lovely review! It is always nice to know how our clients feel! Thanks again for taking the time! We hope to see you again.Best regards, Maryvonne and Mark

This appears like a little roadside cafe it is much more than that. Ate here twice during our three day stay. The food was super. The waiter guided us away from local delicacies including lamb intestines. The restaurant was busy each night we went so booking may be vital. There was also a large number of French eating here not sure if they were local or tourists as well. It seemed like a good sign.Service was excellent. Though a little slow at times. A trend we found throughout our ten day stay in Provence. Particularly like the way the waiter explained the menu. The food. I had pork terrine followed by steak and chips each night served medium rare very tasty then nougat ice cream. One night spent with friends all the food was delicious as we shared each others meals.I cannot comment on value as the price was included in my package. Similar I cannot comment on alcoholic drinks.

My wife and I have eaten at many of the local restaurants in and around Forcalquier but our recent lunch at L'Auberge du Bois was both delightful and faultless and provided one of our most pleasant experiences.Located on a side road off the D4100 just east of the village of Niozelles, lunch seating was arranged under the trees and around the central fountain providing a glorious setting. The food was thoughtful and tasty and service attentive but not intrusive. My beef dish was the best I have had in France.Accommodation is also available. The young couple who operate the auberge have only taken over about 3 months ago and we wish them all the best. Strongly recommended.
