I had a good value steak with frites and salad followed by a wonderful soupe des fraisses. The formule also includes the option of a buffet of hors d'oeuvres which appeared to be varried and substatial. Good value, fiendly and efficient service and many semi-regular diners.

Not a big choice on the menu, but everything is market fresh and in season. Very friendly service and nice, if small, selection of wines. The wines of the week being particularly good value.

We, like many others, were drawn in by the extraordinary fin de siècle décor. It was very busy but our service could not be faulted and the 28 euro 'formule' did not disappoint. Gesiers, salmon, confit de canard andrognons kept us both happy and desserts were of decent quality too

The food was excellent, plenty full and well presented. The service was efficient and well orchestrated. If you want to treat yourself to a fine dining i suggest you try la petite auberge. they offer a good range of menus prices as well, so if you're on a bugdet, you're sure to find something for you.The only let down is the radio playing in the background. I believe an ambiant music would be more appropriate to the style of this restaurant.

This restaurant offers traditional gourmet cuisine. French haute cuisine, with the food cooked and presented skillfully and artfully. The proof is in the eating and we were not disappointed. Add to this the efficiency of the waitress service, which operated like a well oiled machine, but attentive when necessary. The food was delicious. This restaurant is a part of the Hotel, which is available to the public and proved to be most popular.

We came here on recommendation from our airbnb host. The service was friendly and efficient, the food is excellent and the portion is huge, great value too. Highly recommend!

Heve had evening meals at Charlie Folle's on a number of occasions with our visitors. Always found the food and service very good. The size of portions were a little large for us so we shared the starters.

The food preparation and presentation clearly indicates that there is a substantial interest in "doing things" as they should. One cannot help but enjoy the meals presented. The location of the restaurant is also an important PLUS!!

We had lunch here on Saturday and it was fantastic. They went out of their way to make us comfortable. The amuse-bouche were excellent, first a outstanding salmon tartar and then another with 2 perfectly poached quailâs eggs in a Jerusalem artichoke purée. It was one of the best small plates Iâve ever had, anywhere in the world. Then we had diver scallops, perfectly cooked and unctuous. The entree was a perfectly cooked piece of wild cod, on a purée of potato with lemon butter foam and chive purée. This small, unassuming restaurant is well deserving of itâs Michelin recognition. Many thanks to all the staff, everyone was professional and friendly.

We went for a celebration meal, the waiting staff gave a very warm welcome. It isn't a cheap menu so we expected a very high standard. We eat in Moulins often and have our favourite restaurants there, so we were hoping to add this one to the list of those we visit regularly. Sadly we won't bother. The fois gras portion was one very small slice, it came with shredded beetroot although the menu had said it should have had roasted fig which I would have preferred (it cost 18 euros). No toast was brought so we asked the waiter, we had to wait ages for it to arrive. We also had to ask for water, that is very unusual in a French restaurant, normally itâs one of the first things they bring along with the bread. I enjoy eating out and try to choose food that I wouldn't normally cook at home so I was surprised to see steak and chips on their menu, I can get that anywhere so was really disappointed, the menu is very small, not many choices. My husband chose the veal steak with mushrooms and chips, I chose confit of duck made into a 'shepherds pie' with butternut squash as the mash, sadly there wasn't much duck underneath it.  There were only 3 desserts, I had chocolate mousse and he had a very small portion of lemon tart with a tiny bit of meringue on top. I looked at the large prawns that the next table ate as their main meal, they looked very good but just had lots of plain pasta underneath so very boring. It was expensive and we won't return.
