The only reason I didn't give this cafe just one circle is that the view are magnificent, perched precipitously high above the River Tarn. But the food was pretty indifferent, with a very ordinary and not very generous assiette of charcuterie, followed by Roquefort omelettes and greasy chips. We each (four of us) had the omelettes, and they appeared on two serving dishes, cutting each omelette in half to serve. There was no salad or additional vegetables apart from the greasy chips and the four omelettes came to â¬40!! Admittedly we had seen the price on the menu, but did not imagine that there would be one omelette between two and they would come with nothing other than the chips. The omelettes were probably only 4 eggs each for the two people and there appeared to be very little cheese. The whole meal came to not much less than the delicious meal we had that evening at the logis where we stayed. Mine host was pleasant enough, but so he should be with the profit he was making on the meal!

If you like to feel at home on a terrace where you can enjoy a good meal with family or friends in the middle of a small village atypical, in this case, come to the Auberge de Peyreleau and you will not be disappointed.

I was told they catered for vegetarians but the main course was a joke,5 x 2⬠sized dollops of puréed swede (one in each corner and one in the middle of the square plate) with a tiny carrot on top for â¬30 !!!!!!!

Philippe offers home cooking food from the land in the La Grange Templière, former Grange Dimière 12th century, for the collection of tax (tithe), property of the monks of Rozier. It served travelers, Relay for mules. The Templars would be used to store d
Enjoyed a great dinner, compliments to the chef! He was alone, which makes it a slow almost full evening dinner. We are not granting 5 stars as the service was too slow and seeing your host smoking behind the bar for everyone to see, is not very professional. With a bit of help in the kitchen and extra staff serving, you have an opportunity to have a more intimate contact with your guests, sell more drinks and perhaps even sell your tables twice per evening (and double your revenues)! The chef earns this as he is definitely talented!

This place offers some very good ice creams and nice lunch offers. The terrace is nicely situated with some trees for shade. Biggest drawback are the old-fashioned French toilets to which it is hard to get used to...

Have holidayed nearby in our caravan for many years and driven past often. Always thought it looked very 'upmarket' and so expensive. Plucked up courage today and phoned to book table for lunch. Met by very friendly waiter, Antony, who looked after us very well. Although there was a Menu Du Jour at 13.50⬠we opted for the Menu Du Terroir at 18.00â¬. Lovely home-cooked food! Aperitif, 3 courses with house wine was 50â¬. Will definitely return!

Excellent room with Zircon I recall. I do not know how many rooms they have but ours was up some steps from the outside dining area with fields in the back. The price was reasonable and we ate at the restaurant both evenings of our stay and the food was good and reasonable. We tried a very acceptable local wine as suggested and it was acceptable if a little pricey. This pace is out in the country and nice and quiet. We would return.

I have been to other top seeded restaurants in small French villages, and have been disappointed. Not with LâAlicanta. This was a professionally run restaurant with an excellent selection of courses. I had an outstanding appetizer of some apple concoction, followed by a very tasty cod main course. I can highly recommend this restaurant
