Small price, big results. The breafast buffet was perfect. Different kinds of bread, muffins, eggs, sausages, pancakes, fruits, cakes. It was wonderful. Wish we could have had the times to stay for lunch.. I'm sure that I would have been happily surprised. The staff was friendly and efficient.

With a few hours to kill before getting the ferry and a raging hunger, we drove around town before finding this little nugget.Funky little place, interesting decor soon gave way to excellent coffee and breakfasts that hit the spot.In reality, its probably four stars not five, but I went for the 'excellent' because of the staff. An old local man came in on his own and the staff were just so nice and welcoming to him, you could not help but be impressed with their friendliness. We're all goin to get old sometime and maybe lonely with it, let's hope we have some decent people to go to!Bravo, well done this place.

Unfortunately, even if the mall is oceanfront, the restaurant has no view, no nice decor, oldish chairs, tables. I asked for he house specialty and was... well... very disappointed... Nothing to yell about.. Very expensive for what it offered at the end... And somebody told me it was good there...
I am from Matane. My parents still live there and I visit them a few times a year. Every time I go, I stop by "Le vieux loup", an old tavern where you can still get "une grosse bière" (a big bottle of beer). Don't expect any fuss! It is quite simple, has a couple of pool tables, nice staff and live music usually on weekends. Adjacent to it, there is a wonderful and excellent pizzeria but it is not a very nice place to sit. Instead, go into the brasserie, sit down, grab a menu near the door that leads to the pizzeria, order to the restaurant's staff (not the bar staff) and they'll bring you the best pizza in the world (in my view). If you want a tiny one for yourself, order a "gogo". My favorite is plain cheese. Their cheese and sauce are secret...Polish your French before going. I'm not sure they speak much English.
