This Gallic toehold in the Caribbean exudes a distinctly French air, enticingly spiced up by West Indian warmth. Local culture and cuisine combine both influences. The stylish isle is dominated by Mount Pelee, which destroyed the city of St. Pierre in 1902. Black sand beaches and rainforests are found in the north, with yet more beautiful sands to the south. Sights include La Pagerie, birthplace of Napoleon's Empress Josephine, and Diamond Rock, a 600-foot pinnacle, once registered as a British warship.

We stopped at this restaurant while on a tour of the island. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. We enjoyed ourselves very much in their upstairs dining room None of our group speaks French but the owner Philippe was wonderful and able to communicate with us in English very well. The food was delicious!

This is ranked #1 of restaurants in Les Anses d'Arlet, and we totally agree. Low lighting, well spaced tables and low music set the mood very well. Service is fast, friendly, and at least one staff person knows English. We can't comment on drinks, as we had ours at our apartment, but the food was exquisite! We started with house foie gras which had chopped ?walnuts that was delicious, as was the tuna tartare with passionfruit juice. Our mains were veal tartare (fantastic with blue cheese and diced green apples mixed in) and beef steak served with a side of Thai dipping sauce. The steak was an excellent cut and was cooked perfectly. This was an awesome end to our stay on the south end of Martinique, and was by far our best meal in the area.

The restaurant Les Aromes offers a simple, healthy, quality cuisine, while remaining in affordable prices. Without pretension. We work mainly with local products of high quality, thanks to a network of small producers of the North Caribbean who do a great
We went here for lunch towards the end of our vacation - and were very pleasantly surprised. We weren't sure want to expect, but once we walked into the restaurant the back deck was lovely. Our waitress was super nice, and we thought the food was really delicious. If you're looking for a good meal on this part of the island, Les Aromes is definitely a must visit.Thank you for your visit, the team is very appreciative of your comment!

We arrived on Christmas Day (after 9PM) with four teens, so we were unsure of whether any restaurants would be open, or exactly what time we would arrive at our condo. We ordered a traditional Martiniquais Christmas dinner of pork roussi, pois, jambon-ananas, rice and pork patties. Kids loved it! They delivered everything earlier in the day, and we only had to reheat it slightly. We even had enough for another meal! Lovely people and delicious food.Hello,Thank you for your positive feedback on our catering service served at home at The Diamond.

The Restaurant is located at 1643 Carbet, a small village at the edge of the sea. It is one of the oldest houses on the island of Martinique, in a large park in the shade of trees. Christine, the owner, and Karine welcome you in a warm and cheerful atmosp
Second year in a row 1643 delivered our best meal on the island. The setting is sublime, like a botanical garden. Service is impeccable and friendly as can be. Was Wifeâs birthday so I stopped by the day before to make a reservation. We started with a salad of tomato and Chèvre with a surprising cup of delicious ice cream. I had the entrecôte (steak) and Donna had the salmon. Both superb. The day before I had asked if they had cake for the birthday and the proprietor said no, but then she said maybe. The cake came out after dinner and was a love surprise for both of us (although that meant no creme brûlée for me). Donât miss this exquisite experience. Merci pour votre avis et votre recommandation, cela a été un plaisir de vous accueillir pour la seconde fois et nous sommes très contents de faire parti de vos bons souvenirs de vacances. Meilleurs voeux pour la nouvelle année !

We had tried for a few days and case coco was closed so we were so happy when it was open Wednesday evening. White wood bright furniture, open, pretty, and pretty part hidden from the street . The food was fabulous ! Lobster with a butter vanilla sauce and herb sauce too . Tuna breaded and sautéed with eggplant and tapenade . All flavors delicious ! We ended with a strawberry soup with lime sherbet on top for dessert. Definitely you will not be disappointed here !

During our week in Martinique, this meal surpassed all others. It was most surprising because the setting would not leave one to expect a fine French cuisine restaurant in this location (Potterie Village). We went for lunch and tried to reserve a table for the next evening, which was, sadly, not available. I heartily recommend you dine at this establishment! I also recommend that you make a reservation--or you will not get a table. Between four of us, we tried the duck breast, the pork, chicken and salmon with poached egg. All were sublimely prepared and served in beautiful presentations. The service was quick, efficient and courteous.

I had dinner three times at the Cercle. The first time I was just curious to try Brittany style crepes in the West Indies. I had the carbetienne with smoked marlin. It was delicious. I came back twice to taste their other crepes. Do not miss the sweet desert crepes which are also delicious. A great place for lunch or dinner. They also make traditional ice creams! There is a small terrace overlooking the sea. The owner and the waitress were very friendly and helpful.

Built in 1658 Habitation Ceron is a former sugar refinery. From Le Precheur you reach it after a few kilometers down the narrow coastal road. It's situated in an exceptional landscape of North-Carribean Martinique. To-day this estate preserves biodiversity and restores its old stone buildings. I started my stay by a pleasant walk along a torrent in the dense tropical forest surrounding the Habitation. I could see a wide range of plants and trees, especially a huge and striking zamana. After my walk I stopped for lunch in the restaurant located under a carbet in the shade of trees by the river. I received a lukewarm welcome that I forgot instantly by sipping a Planter's Punch and enjoying the exceptional position. Service was helpful and I really appreciated the refined fusion cuisine with Creole inspiration and use of local herbs and flowers. As appetizers I had stuffed piments then lobster ravioli with pan-seared banana and foie gras emulsion. Delicious. I ordered a glass of Chile white wine. As entrée I ate local crayfish a la plancha with zucchini and crispy poultry. Subtle and original. Café gourmand with chocolate cake, mango sorbet and lemon pie was also fine. In short a tasty meal in an amazing spot. Expensive but that was worth it.
