Spent 8 days on Moorea and only ate out four times. Two of those times were at La Grande Voile. Really Great burgers and crepes. The cook (owner?) was friendly and managed to be sociable while cooking our meal.Small, unassuming place but he puts his SNACK signs out on the road which makes it easy to know when heâs open for business.I love burgers and miss the âclassiqueâ already.Ia orana my friend Thank you Volteach. Revisited this restaurant on second trip to Moorea the following year, hosting 12 friends. There was only one other table of 4 people in the place. On the surface, we were thrilled with the setting and thought it was lovely over the water. But things went down from there. It took 20 minutes to get our first drinks...water, and a couple bottles of wine. Another hour goes by and 4 of us were served dinner. Another hour goes by, and 4 more of us received dinner. By the THIRD HOUR, the remaining 4 people were served their dinner. Two of us didnât get the full menu meal (only salad, no main course, no dessert.) By now, were were exhausted, frustrated, and decided to leave. The restaurant charged us full price for our dinner, without apologies or discounts. As a host, I felt embarrassed for having recommending this place and everyone left grumbling. The reason the waiter gave us was that two cooks didnât show up. Unfortunately, we will no longer recommend this as our go-to place on Moorea. Two stars because the location is superb.

Freshly arrived back on Moorea, picked up the car at the ferry dock and decided to pick up our first dinner on the island from Luciano's. arrived at peak time with the phone ringing off the hook..Luciano's cream pizza and the chef salad accompanied by the incredibly light chocolate mousse made our first dinner.Walking distance from the Pearl resort, it is the best kept secret on Moorea !

We were told about this place by locals and it did not disappoint. It is fine French dining in a very small setting. The owner picked us up from our bungalow. The dining experience was excellent as we watched a beautiful sunset in Cook's Bay and enjoyed seeing the sharks and sting rays swim beside the restaurant. The owner has lit the water and will feed them so they come to hang out. I had the Mahi Mahi plate and it was excellent. My aunt had the ravioli and loved it. Prices start at $33.00 a plate and it was an excellent experience. You need to call ahead for reservations as there are limited tables - 15 I believe. The waiter was wonderful and the food was delicious. The owner's cat will also make appearances. I was excited to see that as she happened to look exactly like my cat. All in all, it was a wonderful experience with the restaurant and I highly recommend it.

My husband and I are fromChicago and consider ourselves faux foodies - we LOVE a good dining experience. This place was so good, we went back - twice! Portions are large, plating has been perfected, and the food was fresh and phenomenal. The wasabi crusted tuna was the best tuna Iâve ever eaten - hands down. We were given several restaurant recommendations and this was easily the most tasty! Also, if you go early, the sunset fixed menu is a ridiculous good deal. 10/10 would recommend. We will be back! It's tough to select a restaurant after a busy, fun-filled day on Moorea! We chose Rudy's based on reviews. Rudy's picked us up from our hotel promptly. The restaurant is intimate and uncomplicated. The staff was SO welcoming and friendly! My husband tried the Parrotfish and it was delicious! I ordered a steak and it was also delicious. We saved room for dessert, lava cake and crepes, and were glad we did. After a delightful meal, the shuttle took us right back to our hotel. A perfect ending to a wonderful Moorea day!

When it comes to meals in French Polynesia, steak would not be the first thing that comes to mind...but, if you are craving a NYC steakhouse quality meal, Holy Steak House on Moorea is THE place to go! Situated on "the mountainside" of the main road that circles Moorea, a glance across the way from any seat in the house, gives diners a spectacular view of the south Pacific where it meets the lagoon in front of the Intercontinental Hotel. If you are there for dinner you will behold a magnificent sunset for sure! Food for your eyes, all before your palate gets a taste!Libations are yummy and the food! In typical steakhouse fashion, things are a la carte, although they do offer a combination meal.We went 2 times, I had filet mignon and NY strip. Both steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. I added 2 sides each time and with a cocktail plus gratuity we were out the door for under 50 USD/ person. A great deal indeed! The staff is attentive, service is prompt, but you do not feel rushed. The ambience is over the top. We did not have reservations either time, and if you want a seat outside along the rail for dinner/ sunset I recommend calling to reserve. When we went for a late lunch our 2nd visit, it was no problem being seated outside (4pm).
