An antique store is transformed into a unique restaurant, using old farm implements and wonderful crockery, art and big imagination to create a homey country style atmosphere that is big on local history ( check out both entrances as the building opens on to two different streets.)I was taken here by friends for dinner at the end of October, the place was full of locals. I never saw a menu, so I cannot say anything about selection or prices. We were served what might be a local dish La Garbure, a very hearty tasty soup with huge chunks of ham, vegetables and beans. This was served with bread. We drank water and wine. We were then served cheese with a dollop of wild blueberry jam, followed by apple tart. A perfect meal!Really friendly and unpretentious, it is worth seeking out if you are ever in this part of heaven on earth. I have been told they make great smoothies too and the bar selection looked vast!

-17 ⬠lunch menu with garbure (meat and vegies soup), bbq lamb chps, and dessert-nice choice of regional wines ; ended up with 30 ⬠pp with 2 half bottles of wine, 2 coffe, and 1 tea- the garbure was fresh and tasty, on of the best I have ever had (not like the burnt one we got the day before), with more meat than bones- lamb was from the owner's farm, very tasty and tender, a real treat ! side potatoes were just perfect and tasted new- chocolate mousse was light, and local sheep's milk cheese was delightful, light- view from the terrase on a waterfall and mountains-quiet, as the village is not on the main road leading to the Tourmalet-lovely and talkative owner-really worth the 10 min detour from our trip between Lourdes and Gavarnie !

Combining a deli and cafe/restaurant are the Le Marmiton catered for our daytime and evening needs. We had a lunch, a take away evening meal and a five course dinner on new year's eve. The food was always authentic, fresh and very tasty. The staff are attentive and friendly and have a genuine pride in their work, which makes a real difference. Thanks

Stumbled to it while waiting for a seat in another restaurant, we took a glass of wine and decided to have some fingerfood. A splendid white wine (Gascoign) was served with excellent boccadillos. Just great service and atmosphere.

Slightly off the beaten track although only a couple of minutes walk from the âcentreâ of town. Friendly, helpful staff give you a warm welcome. In addition to the normal range of drinks they have some good local craft beer on keg. Prices are very wallet friendly.Nice terrace at the front which, despite looking onto a small car park, is a good spot to watch the world go by.Recommended.

We visited le basque toy for an evening meal with two friends, whilst on a walking break. It was our anniversary so wanted a special meal and this was just perfect! The service was wonderful, so friendly, attentive and perfectly happy to speak English, which helped us make our selections! The food was beautifully presented... very pretty and absolutely delicious. Our âcanardâ and steaks were cooked to perfection, exactly as requested and served with a wonderful array of sauces, mini vegetables and pretty flowers. The desserts were some of the best Iâve ever tasted... a plate of little tasters of all the desserts on the menu! A pleasure to eat... with so many wonderful flavours and textures on one plate! We were recommended a lovely local wine! I wouldnât hesitate to recommend to anyone! A bientot jâespere!

We've been to this popular restaurant twice. First time we all had pizza then we went for burgers. Very nice, tasty food that isn't too expensive. Were guided to sit outside on our second visit and we got a bit chilly, however when we asked to come inside I was told there wasn't room even though their were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant - beware of thus as I think it's a ploy to advertise how busy the restaurant is to passing cars. Would recommend this to families as they do kids portions.

-Location: 3/5 (close to the town center, quite dark inside due to lack of lights)-Menu: 3/5 (traditional dishes and pizzas, large portions)-Service: 2/5 (disorganised, but friendly)-Price quality: 4/5 (good price quality ratio)At Chez Cristine everything is tasty and well presented, portions large. On the negative side, service should be improved and better organised.
