We had a very nice lunch from the ala carte menu. All servings were nicely prepared with nice fresh locally (at the chateau) produced vegetables, homemade foie gras etc. Quality is good and prices are at the higher end for a bistrot. The surroundings at Chateau Berne are exceptional - do not forget to walk around either before or after you have lunch.Dear Madam, Dear SirWe are very grateful that you have left your opinion and we are particularly pleased that your dinner in our restaurant went as well.Looking forward to welcoming you again for a next opportunity.Best regards,Benjamin CollombatChef of the restaurants

En plein centre de Lorgues, mi-terroir mi-contemporaine notre cuisine est de saison a base de produit frais. "il n'y a pas de cuisine de qualité sans produits de qualité" nous accordons une importance particulière à cuisiner des produits frais et de saiso

The cuisine is fine, but average for a French restaurant. Many locals visit but I find the prices similar to some of the better restaurants in Lorgues. Also, the coffee was very weak (and expensive). The location is nice and I imagine the pasta dishes (which were the least expensive) were the reason for more local visits. The staff is very friendly. I would recommend that you give it a try as there are many other dishes that we didn't try and others seemed very satisfied.

After having lunch here during our holiday to the region last year, we made sure that it was the first visit on our return to the region for our holiday this year. This time was our first visit for dinner, and Natalie and the team did not dissapoint at all - the choice of two starters, two main courses and two deserts on the evening menu ( which changes each week) were both imaginative, and delicious.I cannot recommend this bistro enough - the food, service and setting are all fantastic - and whats more, the meal was also value for money - BravoPs - it was that good, that we went back for lunch on Tuesday also !!

Le bistrot est un endroit convivial, avec une cuisine gourmande, et appréciée de notre clientèle,nous sommes à votre service,et toujours dans la bonne humeur .
This was our second year having holiday in Lorgues, and we all looked forward to the very nice lunches (and dinner) and Bistrot Chez Ludo. We had to go back several times for their great and generous salads, especially the chevre cheese salad and the tomato salad with ham was simply superb!Passing there one evening it was actually a live concert going on there, with one of the waitress singing. Great voice! We will be back next time!

Visiting with japanese business partners. The restaurant face the wineyards and is situated a little outside Lorgues.Fairly simple restaurant room and this evening totally full, so extremely noisy. Some evening it is possible to sit on the small terrasse just next to the Wine plants, and that I prefer. But the food is good and that is the most important. We were 4 and made different choices. Everyone was happy with their meal.Local White and Red Wine to join our food.Nice evening.

We had an enjoyable dinner in this restaurant located near the main square in Lorgues. The terrace is pretty under a big tree. The food we had was tasty (the omelette with white truffles was great). Service was friendly. Price-wise we spent about 90⬠for the menu for two and a bottle of rosé wine.

Wonderful lunch on the terrace under the canopy of the trees next to the water fountain on a clear sunny day. The food was terrific and not just for the truffles, as each dish was beautifully prepared with superb sauces. There were four menus to choose from and the difference essentially is the type of truffle. The black truffles are more expensive by about 45 euro per course, but they are just delicious. It would be an error of judgement to just go for the cheapest 78 euro menu. We opted to have one course with the black truffles and this overall menu was 125 euro each. There was also an option to switch some of the menu items with the ultimate extravanganza menu at 195 euro. We did this and it was a great idea. I changed the caviar belini for the foie gras in pastry. The foie gras with the truffles in pastry was simply delicious. Fortunately it wasn't a big serving but is was fantastic and the sauce was full of flavour. The highlight of the house is the truffle on a slice of potato. We opted for the more expensive black truffles for this dish and we were so pleased with the outcome. There was also a delicious creamy sauce. Doesn't sound exciting and words cannot describe how good it was. Everything was cooked to perfection and it was delicious.Next came the lobster. Again a terrific tasty sauce. The desserts were also very enjoyable, and the pre-dessert of a creme caramel with truffles I really enjoyed. We also noted other diners adding a pinch of salt to their dishes and we followed suit. Really brings out the flavour but go easy. I would ceretainly recommend going for the expensive black truffle option for the potato dish. Don't plan on doing anything for the rest of the day and maybe even the next day. We couldn't finish the caviar dish and the staff packed it up for us to take home. Same with the little dessert cakes. 330 euro for two with an inexpensive 80 euro chablis.Great experience.

It was restaurant week in France with many restaurants participating in the 2 for 1 offer. This was one of the participating restaurants. We were given a table on the terrace as requested, and given the special menu for the offer. 4 starters, of which we would receive all 4 (2 of each), a choice of 4 main courses and 4 desserts, all for 35 Euros for both of us. Fantastic value. The food was superb - foie gras on toast with fig jam, chopped salmon and cucumber in a sauce in small glasses, thin smoked ham with shaved parmesan cheese, and pieces of cheesy pizza, all for starters. We oth had the beef fillet which cut like and dream and tasted just as good. Only very minor criticism, it wiuld have been nice ot have just a few vegetables, and less french fries.I had a gooey chocolate fondant, and my husband a gaspacho of pineapple with ice. All very very tasty. Good bottle of Brouilly, plus water, and we left feeling great. Would highly recommend this place.
