Find out what French restaurants to try in Little Neck. Little Neck is an upper middle class neighborhood of Queens, New York City, bordered on the north by Little Neck Bay and on the east by Great Neck in Nassau County. Due to this proximity to Nassau, Little Neck remains one of the most suburban-looking areas in New York City. The southern border is the Grand Central Parkway, and to the west is Douglaston. The Little Neck station is the easternmost New York City station on the busy Port Washington Branch of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), and thus Little Neck is home to the busiest of approximately a dozen remaining railway grade crossings in New York City. The neighborhood is part of Queens Community Board 11.

Fine dining, no annoying noise level. The service is attentive and knowledgeable about the various French (Tunisian) dishes. The onion soup is the best I ever had. I also recommend Couscous Royal Semolina cooked by steam, served with flank, lamb, chicken, all vegetables in season, and chickpeas seasoned in cumin.Served with merguez which is aTunisian sausage. We also had a fish special which was filet of sole in phyllo dough, which was also very tasty.

We were here for a Communion party. Having passed this place a few times, and heard some nice comments, we were glad to get a chance to taste their food. Well, it was not completely a disaster, but close. The host had ordered chicken fingers and fries for the kids. It never came out. He complained when the adult food was being put into the chafing dishes. It came out when everyone was nearly finished-or had to be finished because they chafing dishes were not refilled quickly enough. The meat was mostly gristle. The fish was good. I asked for coffee and was told it would be out in 10-15 minutes. There wasn't enough staff, and the ones who were there had too much to do. if this is an indication of the restaurant, we won't go back.

Overall very good. We had two breakfast meals, one lunch and one dinner at Brasserie Americana during our 2 ½ day stay over the Christmas weekend. The breakfasts were unremarkable - standard hotel fare. Since the weekend was not busy, the buffet was not offered which was understandable. Not much you can do to mess up breakfasts of oatmeal, eggs/bacon so it was fine, just fine. Lunch and dinner was a different story - very well prepared food offered with competent service and a nice presentation. The bread basket was fantastic and each of our selections, from soup to sandwiches to salads to pasta to entrees was tasty, fresh, and a pleasure to enjoy. The setting is okay - nothing fancy or trendy. This is one time the web picture looked BETTER than the actual room but it was still quit acceptable. We were pleased with our stay at the Inn at Great Neck and pleased with our meals Brasserie Americana.
