Make sure you sit at the right table so you can see the menu written on the blackboard. Otherwise take a photo and try to decipher the various menu options. The food is pretty basic, all the starters came straight out of the fridge. The terrine was delicious and the salads pretty solid.Mains were good, especially the onglet steak.Dessert was again solid. So all in all a good choice for a quick lunch as service is super efficient.

A chance finding which greatly pleased. A fine dining room and lovely attentive service.A good wine list not too expensive [well not compared to some places!].tThe cheapest menu of 23⬠was our choice and it was indeed good. The main course was a nice merlu. I doubt you could do better!

I booked this restaurant, based on trip advisor reviews, for a birthday meal. I imagine booking is essential too as it got very busy over the course of the evening. We arrived over half an hour early but this was not a problem. The waitress was very pleasant and indulged my desire to speak poor french. We had one starter; beef carpaccio, which was melt in the mouth, three mains, and two desserts. three glasses of wine, which were really nice, an orange juice, a local beer and a bottle of San Pellegrino and the whole lot came to 112 euros. Bargain!! I didn't have a dessert because I was so full after a starter and a dessert but the waitress still brought me a little cannelle with a candle in it and sang happy birthday, a nice touch especially when they were so busy. The front of the shop is a butchers which is a bit weird but the whole thing works very well. I imagine the shop is as busy as the restaurant. I will definitely be coming here again.

We were lucky to get a table in this cosy French restaurant on a Saturday night. The food was excellent- the restaurant primarily sells hamburgers and delicious side salad. The burgers were delicious cooked to your preference and served on a light fluffy brioche bun . The waiter recommended red wine and it was the perfect accompaniment to our dinner. We then had a baked raspberry and lemon cheesecake to share followed by coffee and liqueur. Service was excellent, food and drink delicious and the restaurant friendly and comfortable- highly recommend. Thankyou!

The magnificence of a former XIIth Century Convent In that historic place, discover or rediscover the simple though highly famous grilled Limousin beef cooked in the indoor fireplace, some traditionnal pots bubbling on the stove or homemade Limousin cherr
There are some real positives. The building is extremely attractive and the meat is without doubt great quality and at a fair price. My stake was cooked well and as ordered although served with no garnish to make it look attractive on the plate. However, the welcome by front of house was bordering on frosty, It would have been good to have received an explanation of items on the menu but the waiter seemed disinterested when asked There seemed to be an absence of front of house management which meant things could and did go wrong during service. Maybe working on a Sunday makes one miserable but the guests should not suffer. I also detected a surliness between some chefs and waiters as they disagreed in public or shoulted from one dining room to the other. What a shame all of the open kitchen activity isnt in one room.. The open chimney is in a separate room and the vegetables prepared and served from the other. it wasn't smooth service ensuring meat and vegetables arrived together. Our table was surprisingly ample. One place looked into the room but placed close to an untidy service counter my own view was of a printer its wires and untidy piles of papers and other restaurant supplies. Unfortunately the real turnoff for me was on the way to the cloakroom to see the proximity of a huge pile of used plates with leftover food piled on the end of the vegetable/starters/pud service counter. BIts of raw chicken in a plastic bag and other detritus were left visible in a sink used by the chefs to rince cooking utensils. Frankly if I had not have eaten I would not have ordered. So I was conflicted with the rating. I would have given 5* for the quality of the meat and sheer style of the building but the 3* reflects the chilly reception and somewhat chaotic management of our order.

Back again to this divine little bistro. Today the menu midi offered a crunchy parcel of goats cheese in filo, pork tenderloin in an exquisite light jeu followed by tarte tatin with salted caramel butter sauce.......I love this place. The welcome is always warm, cheerful and prompt. The talented chef is also busy around the tables greeting regulars and newcomers alike. I have eaten here many times and the menu changes every time taking the best local produce and producing a masterpiece. The talented chef has a light touch and the food looks as good as it tastes. Book at least one day in advance to be sure of a table. Snuggled behind the Market Hall at Place Carnot, you could pass by and miss it. Once found though you will be wondering why you did not try it before !

I had dinner with my family and was pleasantly surprised with the creativity and flavor of each dish. The swordfish was particularly delicious. Very good service too! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

One of best restaurants we have found in 20 years of visiting Limoges. The food was brilliant and interesting and the owners were really lovely, a pleasure to meet. The restaurant is situated a short distance from the main shopping area, with its lovely old streets, church and market place. We could not recommend the establishment more highly.

The Sherrif's Lady and I picked this out from Tripadvisor reviews while on a weekend visit to Limoges. It is in the opposite direction to all the obvious tourist spots and in a rather unpromising part of town. Nevertheless it is still only about 10 minutes walk from the Place de la Republique. The food and wine were truly excellent and the service was outstandingly friendly. As other reviewers have commented, there isn't much English spoken and this is really a neighbourhood brasserie. However, the staff are so keen to welcome guests that communication is not a big problem as long as you can manage some fairly basic menu French. It is a small place and got quite full on a midweek night when we were there so it is probably worth phoning to book ahead.

Ouvert 7j/7, Memphis Coffee Restaurant vous accueille dans l'univers de l'Amérique des 50's et vous propose des recettes 100% US: burgers, steakhouse et milkshakes ! Ambiance follement rétro assurée.
This new restaurant is the perfect image of the American Burger Bar. No expense spared in the fittings with a sympa layout, large screen American TV and a buzzing atmosphere. Go early, the menu is substantial and its hard to make a choice from all the delicious variations on offer. The waiting staff were prompt, friendly and personable. Some great deals on offer too, like free top up of soft drinks and combo meals. Considering all of the staff are French, this diner really nails the atmosphere of an authentic American Diner. Its American customer service with a smile and not some pastiche,Not generally a burger lover, I found the hand made burgers cooked as ordered to be succulent. Although there are many other items on the menu including salad, I just had to try one of the wonderful burger combinations. There is a choice of regular or brioche style buns, Unlike an American diner there were also beef & pork burgers and chicken burgers on offer - all delicious. Great for families, children evidently love eating here but it also brings out the fun side of us adults. Guaranteed to lift the spirits and fill the hunger within.Hello,Thank you for your very kind comment. We hope to see you again in our restaurant Memphis of Limoges.
