This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is fresh and delicious. The staff are so friendly! And the garden and terrace are beautiful. It's dog and kid friendly too. We have been here a few times and have always enjoyed ourselves enormously. The perfect setting.

Have eaten here before on several occasions over the last 10 years and this was another very enjoyable evening. Everything our table of six ordered was well balanced, nicely presented and tasted delicious. We all ate from one of the fixed price menus on offer and it represented good value for money. The waitress who served us was very friendly - happy to let us try out our French, only wading in to help with her good English when necessary. Will eat here again I'm sure.

-Location: 4/5 (in the old town, along the central street)-Menu: 3/5 (large selecion)-Service: 3/5 (quite friendly and organised)-Price quality: 3/5 (good price quality ratio)I had a complete menu du jour (entrée + plat + dessert, â¬25). Quality and preparation were mid-low. Personally, I would increase a bit the pricing in order to improve quality

Don Camilo is located in the ancient pedestrian centre of led vans. A great location with tables lining the street and a sizeable indoor restaurant in the vaulted cellars. The staff are warm and accommodating. And booking particularly in the evening if you want a table outdoors is highly advisable. We did not book and were given a table downstairs in the cellar which after a day on the river was actually a welcome relief. The menu is Italian done French style. Pizzas have a range of local ingredients and classics. The pasta dishes are ll served gratin style (finished under the grill with cheese.Wine list had some interesting local wines and we were very impressed with "Les Amouriers" a merlot that was big fresh and tasty. The star for me was the local smoked trout served either as a starter or as a pizza topping. This is very subtle and bursting with flavour. The pizza option was Devine.Desert menu has the standards and we enjoyed the creme brule. The menu is 24 euros for 3 courses a la carte mains at around 15 euros.

This is my favourite little restaurant ever. This is so special. The cuisine that is lovingly prepared and freshly sourced from the local market on Saturdays and surrounding shops in this area is outstanding. The extremely talented chef using seasonal foods, produces some amazing flavours. The calamari is to die for. As is the black pig, fresh fish, scallops and local french dishes. I could go on and on. Everything on the menu is beautiful. You can not pick a wrong dish. If you are lucky enough to stay in Les Vans, you have to book a table at this resturant. In the height of the season you will need to make a reservation. Very friendly atmosphere.

Came across this restaurant by chance. Everything they serve is home-made. We had the magret de canard (duck) with chestnuts and girolle mushrooms (amazingly tasty- and no mushroom stock was added. And not just 2 or 3 girolles on the plate, but a good handful!) and pork vindaloo (Ardèche-style: not so, so hot but cooked with fresh ingredients). The service was discreet and friendly. Very good value for money. We'd definitely be regulars if we lived in the Ardeche!

Travelling around the local, enjoying the area, we arrive at the usual daily question, of what shall we do about dinner !Coming down out of the mountains, this was the first 'Town' that seemed to be open, so we pulled in and picked this restaurant for a bight to eat. Small place with an waning over the pavement, no heaters as such, but the offer of a blanket if you were feeling a bit chilled, different and memorable. The welcome was warm, and the service reasonable, the food was excellent if not limited, but there again the place is quite small, saying the menu was limited does no way detract from the quality. Overall a good experience, and a decent meal, and not bad value

Our chef Ladislai revisits with talent and a touch of audacity the classic and Mediterranean dishes, made from local seasonal products that he personally chooses. The culinary offer is completed by dishes full of flavours and freshness as well as a wide c
bistrot/restaurants visited in a long time. We were well received by the two attractive waiters who showed us to our table on the outdoor terrace. We ordered aperitifs whilst choosing our meal. The food was delicious. Both meat and fish served with a creamy polenta sauce and veggies. Congratulations to the chef and to blue eyed smiling Melanie who stole the hearts of the gentlemen at our table !!!! Will definitely return.
