Stopped for lunch with friends. A popular bar with the local population, and we were made to feel very welcome by the staff. The owner prepared the food which was fresh and tasted good. A bonus of our visit was the free and speedy access to the Internet. This was obviously a popular resource as I noticed others making use of it.Overall a very pleasant and welcoming local Cafe.

Service un peu long.

Le Pinocchio is a pizza restaurant, but offers other Italian dishes and WONDERFUL appetizers, particularly the carpaccio. Pizzas are European style thin crust, with about 30 different listed menu combinations ... excellent! Very nice wine offerings. Not expensive. My wife and I ate there several times over a 3-month stay in Langeac. Typically we shared a large appetizer, a nice-sized pizza, and a dessert (nice, home-made desserts). With drinks, our bill would be 30 to 35 Euros, or about 45-50 American dollars. Some wines can raise the bill considerably. Charm and ambience. Modestly lit for dinner, the restaurant is very quaint in its decor... and, from small to large, is also decorated with Pinocchio puppets. From June to Sept, you can dine outside on the narrow, cobblestone street, located in the oldest and most historical part of the town ... again quaint, and fascinating. It can also be quite ROMANTIC, particularly if you take a table inside, on the UPPER floor The restaurant is small inside, and also quite popular. So, either have reservations on busy days, or arrive BEFORE opening time to wait. Langeac town is also picturesque, with a great park, river(great salmon fishing, rafting and canoeing on the Allier River), camping, hiking and other outdoor activities. And a couple of wonderful historic attractions. BEAUTIFUL countryside surrounds town, and lovely, fascinating neighboring villages. There is a tourist info office in the town center.

Coming back to Langeac after a trip on mountain bike we did not expect to find such an exclusive dinner as served at Le Voltaire. The young couple that runs the restaurant deserves our recomandation. A well balanced 4 course menu, frish and tasteful engredinces and and a friendly atmosphere. Everything at a very reasonable price

We have almost all the restaurants in Langeac and this one is the best if You go for good french cusine to a fair price. The serve menus starting at 19⬠and up as well as a'la carte. We had a three course menu where we started with a small dish from the kitchen, followed with a very delicious tomato salad. As the main we had duck and finished with cheese. We highly recommend this place. We were there on a saturday evening. Many locals visited the restaurant that evening.

"Bijou" and quirky restaurant in the centre of Langeac. Booking is advisable and luckily we as a party of six did, as it was full at a traditionally quiet period between christmas and new year. Our young host could not have been more welcoming or helpful, and the all-important food was fresh, innovative and i ate possibly the best little starter salad ever! Finally, the only "digestif" served was a local verveine which we all agreed was delicious.
