We went to this brilliant restaurant 2 days ago we were the first ones in that evening. We were greeted by a lovely friendly young woman who was front of house and said her English was poor but she was amazing. Our 2 boys were introduced to new foods and loved them all. We had lobster salad (â¬5 extra) and the boys foir gras we all had the beef which was cooked to perfection medium rare! The accompanying veg was just enough. Our deserts were lovely too. Nice touch of some hor derves before the starter and bread. We can recommend the Chablis it was smooth and very nice. We can't recommend this restaurant enough and we will definitely be going back as its on our favourite list now. Chef sent us out limoncello drinks too.

We took two lunch menus, with fish and crab.Crab and raw bream, then monkish fillet. All was tasty, prepared it great taste and beautifully arranged on the dishes.Maybe is the service a little too grumpy and the restaurant, a bit cramped.Coffee was OK, we took no wine.

Due to the reviews we expected a lot from this place. In retrospect we realize: some things were good, many things were not. Both appetizers were disappointing, the ravioli watery, the beetroots close to tasteless. Of two times calf one was massively tough. The pre-ordered dessert was sold out at the end. Conclusion: disappointing.Dear Francis, First of all thank you for your review. Your remarks imply an answer from us.The ravioli (which are 3) are not "watery". They came on plate with a celery water wich is a full part of the receipe. It's a shame that you didn't undersand that as it is written on the menu. The beetroot may not been your taste but how could be a beetroot tasteless ! It's marinated into red wine sauce and comes on plate with sour cream spum, smoked duckling breast, wild peppers mix and fines herbs ! Maybe the beetroot wasn't what you expected as you asked our waitress many times "what is a beetroot ?" ! I'm also really suprised about one the calf beeing "tough" as both of your pieces comes from the same animal. Nevertheless you didnt asked us for another one we would had been pleased to prepare again especially for you. Finally, again, we aplogogize that the chocolate dessert you pre-order wasnt avaiblable but I personnaly decided to don't serve it as it didn't meet the quality level that I impose on kitchens.

We had toured the Saint Emilion wine region of France and were overnight in St. Malo prior to an early morning ferry. Our hotel was too far away to walk into the centre of St. Malo and being a Tuesday evening, there wasn't a huge choice in the area. After some research, Le Bulot seemed to fit the bill so we booked a table for six in advance. We arrived early and sat on the terrace for some bottles of wine and were given a tasty Amuse Bouche of a fish terrine. One in our group was adventurous and ordered some Oysters and Whelks (Les Bulots) for an entree and enjoyed them. I went for the Beef Carpaccio that was on the specials menu and whereas it was cut a little thick, it was tasty with the delicious pesto dressing. Main courses consisted of the House Salad that was very generous, a few went for the filet with a peppercorn sauce and were pleased, my wife opted for the Special of the Day which was Scallops in a very nice sauce whilst I went for the Tuna with a basil dressing. I asked for it cooked medium rather than Mi-Cuit and it came perfectly prepared. A few in the group opted for puddings and they looked nice. The bill that included plenty of wine was extremely reasonable and the service was attentive and friendly. Le Bulot is a typical French Bistro with nice sea views and a relaxed atmosphere - I would happily return.

Glad we didn't miss it. Came in on a recommendation and just after it had been loaded with the Christmas decorations. And those on top of the busy wall and ceiling filling Americana enamel license plates and period retail ads. Initially felt oppressive and maybe cramped but within moments we adjusted. Only open for lunch and tea at this time of year. Soon after we came in to pick a good little table the place filled with local French people and the place had a lively convivial air overlaid with Ella Fitzgerald and some blue grass bible belt stuff. We had a delightful lunch, cactus kir followed by Californian red and two delightful savoury tarts and super desserts. Good lunch and good fun. Way different from the routine tourist trap creperies and the few but indifferent fish restaurants.

The MILLESIM ', bar to wine-restaurant, situated to intra-muros SAINT MALO will propose you his French speciality of delicatessen, cheeses, meats, creative pancakes, gourmet salads, dishes of the market or some auction. Discovery of wines of French region
We chose to go to Millesime primarily based on other reviews. It has a bright and busy ambience even though it is on the small and therefore cramped side. The menu isn't very extensive - we chose the pave of beef and the duck. The pave was comfortably on the medium side of medium-rare and the duck was nothing remarkable, so we were left with a degree of disappointment. It seemed that everyone had been booked in at 19.30 (that was the only slot offered when I booked online) and it was nearly an hour before any food popped up. We were also surprised when the party of four men next to us left, as they extracted two dogs from under their table. To be fair, they had been totally invisible, but it's a rare happening these days.To clarify your criticism I would like to criticize you too, because we have two services, one around 19:30 and the other towards 21h15 and you forget to say that you had the dishes later because you have taken an aperitif and that in France we wait for the end of the aperitif To bring the first dishes... To finish you criticize me for accepting customers with their dogs, I think I dream with so much nonsense...

We discovered Le Tournesol today. Delighted to see the reviews on Tripadvisor concur, that we hit upon a real gem.It was busy, yet they had one table free.(We were worried, as they asked if we had a reservation, which we didnât - so would recommend booking in advance). The interior is quite quirky, the staff efficient and helpful. We both had delicious galettes. One with ham, potatoes, blue cheese accompanied with green salad, the other - goats cheese, apples, smoked bacon, honey and accompanied with goats cheese ice cream.Bother packed with flavour, very filling.Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely return.

This attractively decorated restaurant has a varied menu with a la carte and set meals. Service was friendly and efficient and the dishes we ordered were delicious. I particularly recommend the Chicken Brochettes. There is local street parking which is free during the evening
