A tasty cuisine and giving pride to fresh products, imagination, seriousness and know-how are the quality of our establishment

A lovely position and a pleasure to eat here. A great addition to the village of Ste Foy. We had the set menu which was very good value at 19 euros, will try a la carte next time.

Six of us went for lunch at L'etelle. The restaurant is situated opposite the church in the pretty village of L'Ile D'Olonne and is tastefully decorated with old implements from the local salt producing industry. We all chose the Plat du Jour, 12.50 Euros for 3 courses, a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 2 desserts with 1/4 Ltr of wine included - what tasty food and what terrific value for money. The service was excellent. Definitely high up on our list for a return visit (or two!). Highly recommended.

While staying at Le Garangeoire Camping we dined at LE 140 Restaurant and had a delicious meal.To start the owner offered us an amuse bouche of gaspacho which was a lovely surprise. We had smoked duck salad and homemade terrine de volaille which were delicious. As main courses we had ling,a white seafish, served on a bed of vegetables wrapped in a very fine crispy batter which was really tasty .The other option was duck. Next came a cheese and salad course followed by a 3 chocolate fondant or fresh strawberry crumble with vanilla icecream both of which were very good. The owners treated us to a digestif of plum liqeur to finish .The price of this wonderful meal was 18 euros! We had a very good red wine [15 eur].The owners Christophe who is also the chef, and Isabelle are very welcoming and generous .We would highly recommend this restaurant.Well done !

Disregard the name "cafe"this is a charming small restaurant in a little town/large village. It is immediately opposite the church where there is ample parking. The town itself has many artists and craft shops and is situated above a steep river valley which is beautifully terraced, affording delightful walks. The restaurant is typically french, modestly but freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. Madame runs front of house and Monsieur cooks (and does he cook well!). A set lunch menu for 11Euros is excellent value well prepared, presented and a joy to eat. There is a more extensive menu for evenings and Sunday lunch (about 24 Euros). Reservations are advised. The wine list is both modest in length and price, offering a reasonable choice. The restaurant is busy with locals and business folk at midday.Service was kind and efficient and the cooking and tastes truly excellent.

Dropped in because the nearby restaurant was full. Situated outside of the village in a non-pretty spot in a commercial area. Very nice inside, perhaps typical of a hotel chain design, (part of Brit)First course of smoked haddock, very nicely presented but a little too salty. Main course of duck breast was lovely. Best bottle of Muscadet that I've had, at 11E. Let themselves down with the fromage which was served straight from the fridge - had to wrap up in serviette to eat later.

Four of us dined at Domaine de Brandois. The 'Good':- What a wonderful setting, a fine old chateau in really picturesque parkland surroundings. The food was of a high quality with some really interesting and tasty dishes. The 'Not-so-good:- Considering that this is a high quality restaurant (with prices to match) the service was average. For the main course three of us ordered the pigeon and one ordered lamb - what came was three lamb and one pigeon! Having considered the time taken to prepare the meals we made the, perhaps, strange decision not to send them back and instead accepted the mistake. It was then we realised that there was no cutlery on the table and so we had another short wait for the waitress to reappear so that we could ask for some knives and forks before being able to eat our meals! A minor complaint perhaps but this level of restaurant should demand the best service. Back to the 'Good': both the lamb and pigeon dishes were excellent. So, mixed feelings - if they can get the service right this will be a first class restaurant!

A little bit different for lunch, highly recommended if you're into trying different beers! It's recommended to book ahead
