My wife and I stayed overnight in La Gacilly while on a week's holiday boating on the Nantes to Brest Canal. Lovely place but many restaurants don't open in the evening on weekdays. It was a balmy evening and we thought dinner at The Yucca al fresco would be nice. There were a few vacant tables outside but these were set up as fours by pushing two twos together. On requesting a table for two the waitress replied "You can see there are no tables for two". We reluctantly took a table inside as options elsewhere were limited. The tables outside were vacant all evening until we left. I pointed this out to our inside waiter who lied rudely "They were all full when you arrived". The food, when it eventually arrived, was OK although we didn't get exactly what we ordered. The bottle of white wine we ordered wasn't chilled so we had to wait while they got a bag of ice to put it in.All in all an unpleasant experience.

Have been about 5 times this summer.Menu has enough choice for everyone.Salads huge and imaginative, dishes of the day varied and beautifully presented, lovely puddings and wide choice of drinks. If in a party or thinking of eating after 12:30, book as gets very busy.Service is a wonderful blend of friendliness and professionalism.

We arrived about 12:30 for lunch and were the first to occupy a table on the outside terrace. By 1pm all the tables had been taken. We enjoyed a meal of gallettes and cider, which was very good. We noticed that the restaturant was recommended in each of the last 4 years by le Routard guide.

Quick lunch stop after strolling around la Gacilly in the sun. Only 12 reviews of this place and it is sublime!!This is proper Bretagne food and drink. Cidre is served with the meal and plates are plentiful. Staff are excellent and very attentive. They do speak English but unlike most restaurants, they will only respond in English when your french is truly exhausted. It's nice to try!Very pleased to have found this little Bretagne gem.

We happened upon this restaurant by chance when the restaurant we had planned to eat in was closed. What a pleasant surprise. It is located right in the center of town, not too far from the artisan pedestrian street, and has plenty of parking, which the restaurants on the artisan street do not have. If you have trouble walking this is a great choice in La Gacilly, and it is a good choice even if you donât have trouble walking! It is a small restaurant, tastefully modern in an old stone building. You can choose to eat outside as well. The two women who served us were extremely professional and very pleasant. The food was delicious. We were able to get a three-course meal (plus an âamuse-bouche) for â¬28. We had an excellent salmon tartare (prepared with apples and coconut milk) as an appetizer and a shared an order of lamb. The lamb was perfectly cooked and served with interesting and different sides, including crispy fries made from chick peas. For dessert, I chose a duo of chocolate mousse, light and refreshing after a heavier meal. I happily give this restaurant 4.5 stars.

Took the family as a treat for lunch here. The bar area was comfortable and our aperitifs were served nicely. The waiter explained some of the lunch items and helped us order. What followed was an attractive meal, not filling but interesting and beautifully presented. We were served coffee in the garden area after lunch which was lovely.

We were looking forward to trying the menu which looked very diverse. The presentation of the dishes was excellent, however the portions were small and we consider that, overall, it was overpriced.

A French restaurant just as it should be. Good food, good atmosphere and service. We were here on a Sunday lunchtime and every table was taken, that tells you that it is good. The menu is not large but the quality and presentation are good. We had a relaxed 3 course lunch followed by coffee over about 1 1/2 hours but could have stayed longer. We'll certaily be going back.

The service was good. Depending on the weather, seating outside is very pleasant with interesting surroundings. Inside there is also a shop where foods, condiments etc can be purchased. The food was good. It is an interesting town to walk around but perhaps a bit steep in parts for those less fit.
