Good location and nice interior decoration. But: 28 euros for a salad? Service very slow after all. Quite disappointing. You have to deserve your clients, guys ....Dear Sir, I regret you did not like your second visit. According to the service, we do not present ourselves as a restaurant for a quick lunch, dinner or salad. People come here to enjoy their noon or evening in a relaxed way. There are enough other restaurants in town for a quick bite. According to the price, I think you ate a salad with 200 grams of pata negra or a thick slice of foie gras, as these are the only salads we have on our menu. If you ever bought one of these high quality products for yourself, I think you will see that 28 euros is more than acceptable. In addition, prices are always listed outside, so you always know in advance what you will pay and will never be suprised. Nevertheless, we hope to welcome you soon in our cosy restaurant and will do our utmost best to offer you a good service and meal.
Deze bistro is mooi gelegen en heeft een smaakvolle landelijke inrichting. De kaart is eerder beperkt maar dit vertaalt zich in kraakverse gerechten.De prijs is correct voor het lekkers wat voorgeschoteld wordt.

has been several times , always very happy with art's choice (chefs menu/choice) .very tastefull, accompagnated with excellent wines , is becoming one of our favourite adresses !!nice thing is : this is a place where you don't have to worry about food qaulity , so you can paste the qaulity(-time) on your table partners , ultimate exprerience !

Sometimes, things do change for the better. For as long as I can remember, d'Ouwe Smisse was a rather unremarkable tea-room annex bistro. But it has recently been taken over by a young couple, who have decided to turn it into a proper restaurant - even if they do keep serving afternoon drinks and snacks on the terrace overlooking the Flemish Ardennes. We decided to try it shortly after it re-opened, and were really pleasantly surprised. The interior has received a significant upgrade. It doesn't betray the rural location of the restaurant, but it has been updated to a pleasant 'country-chique', with some rather nice and humorous images on the walls. The furniture is simple, but tasteful. A bit of a surprise really, especially as the outside terrace over which you access the entrance has kept the plastic tables and chairs of the previous owners - probably something that will be changed soon, or at least it should, because it gives the wrong impression of what this place is about now. The menu isn't very extensive, and the meals on offer are relatively straight forward. But the products used are excellent, and both the manner of preparation and the way of presenting the food on the plates seems to focus on doing full justice to the excellent products that are used. My favorite is the grilled steak - perhaps not the most imaginative, but here of a quality that is really quite memorable. The service is personable, and you feel that the young staff really want to make a go of this. Great to have a place like this in the neighborhood!

Nothing bad can be said about this place. A very friendly welcoming. Food was excellent and so was the service. The lady serving was very polite and friendly. Time between dishes was great. An excellent meal in a great evironment. Highly recommended.

Know as a businessrestaurant but also a place that feels like home coming. Enjoy the french classic kitchen, with also some japanese dishes like Sushi, Sashimi and Tempura. Enjoy these Japanese dishes while your friends have a steak or stew next to you. S
Some friends took us to Hobos and we had a wonderful timeThe menu is extensive and covers most tastes, and the wine list is really good and the staff very friendly and attentive. We had starters and a main meal and everything we had was well cooked, presented beautifully and tasted fantastic. We went on a Tuesday night and nearly every table was full which says a lot about a restaurant. The evening passed by very quickly, we had just a great time and for sure we will return

L'improviste By David, Bistronomie & TeaLounge Little known, the concept "Bistronomie" is a transposition of gourmet cuisine presented in a simpler way as in a brewery. Het nog weinig gekende concept "Bistronomie" brengt de gastronomische keuken op een ee
We really wanted to encourage David Selen on his second attempt, especially on the first birthday of his new restaurant. The location is stunning, with splendid views on the world famous horse racing track. The terrace is beautiful, and the interior decoration is modern, somewhat cold (perhaps because everything is new). Ample parking possibilities.A 4-course menu at 50 euros is not expensive. But two things let us down: service and taste. Staff is not up to par with what this restaurant wants to be. And worse: the flavors did not surprise us. Everything tasted rather bland. It's not by throwing in a pinch of truffle that a plate suddenly turns into something gastronomic. Not much happens in the open kitchen. The house wine was not impressive. And finally, an advance payment must be made upon reservation. Don't like this ...

It is a place to which we return from time to time. Food, service, atmosphere, price, .... everything is there at the right level of expectations. We have never encountered any type of hick-up or disappointment. And this is valid whether you sit inside or on the back-side terrace.

I think all the superlatives have already been expended by reviewers before us. Living in London, we have the privilege of access to diverse and outstanding cuisine from all around the world. But London could never create anything close to this jewel of a restaurant. Beg, borrow, steal - do what it takes to get a reservation. This restaurant should be on every person's bucket list

Not a great location. Friendly hosts, great quality of food. Exceptional wine menu, a lot of very original wines. Simple interior decoration with poor acoustics. Disappointing detail: ordering the 4 course surprise menu being charged â¬7,5 extra for one vegetarian guest, and next snack serving foie gras to the vegetarian??
