We went in for the set lunch menu: rice with chicken curry.Soup was served in the usual bowl but when they brought the bowl you could see that it was dirty on the outside. I think they put too much in the dishwasher so it cannot clean properly. Then came a pile of tasteless rice with some curry sauce all over and 4 small pieces of chicken 'thrown' around it.It looked horrible. Prepared by a chef without passion. We had guests invited to go there for a quick lunch and I felt embarrassed...Also when I wanted to go to the toilets, you could smell them miles away.I fear a lack of hygiene there.I am afraid I will not go there for a while. Such a bad experience. Was not at all like before, but I have seen them degrading visit after visit.Petty it was a difference at the time when they opened...

Very friendly welcome (and valet service). Staff is professional without stiffness. Somelier surely knows his job and is passionate about his wines (a list at reasonable prices). We went for the Primavera set menu and started with 4 appetizers of which the ceviche and the salmon could please us most. First starter is 'incontournable': the panko breaded shrimp croquette: perfection. The risotto with mustard, which came with the second starter: super. The second main course with chicken: cooked to perfection. We decided to add a nice cheese platter, chosen from the charriot with all Belgian products. We ended with a very good cassata. With the coffee came a variety of après desserts, many of which we couldn't eat anymore because 'to much'.Mr. Buyens cooks to perfection, the products are high end, the cooking times perfect, the tastes blend wonderfully. But we missed originality, surprises or rock 'n roll attitude. All dishes are perfect and honnest but colored inside the lines.

Rosa is located conveniently close to the 'Zeelaan', the central shopping street of Koksijde. The restaurant has a nice terrace, where we unfortunately couldn't eat, because it was raining very hard. Inside it was nice and warm though. The place has big windows on three sides, so a lot of light can get in. I liked the wicker chairs which were very comfortable. We ordered the menu (starter, main course and desert for 34,50 euro). Sadly the waiter told us the tuna for the starter was not good. He offered us a choice of other starters: We went for the home made shrimp croquettes, which were excellent. The main dish was an excellent cooked cod with mashed potatoes. To my taste there was too much leek in the dish, but I liked it nonetheless. Sauce and mashed potatoes were served in seperate bowls. I always like it when I can choose myself how much sauce I add to my dish. The soufflé was something completely different than I imagined beforehand, but it was also nice. The white wine of the house was a bit of a disappointment though, too bitter for my taste.

Very nice place to relax when you have walked in the dunes and on the beach on a windy day in winter. We visited in mid-January when temperatures were around 5 degrees C.

Selection of fish and seafood based dishes. Best place for lobster. Trendy decoration. Wealthy customers. Tasty bouillabaisse. Large selection of wines. Dishes are generous.Service was neutral (neither good nor bad). the place was fully booked during our visit.

We where immediately shocked about the prices. So we only took one main dish. We also stayed with one glass of wine. We have to say that the food was perfect, but the atmosphere is anonymous. The young servers are well trained technically, but you don't feel welcomed. As there are no curtains or other fabric to lower the acoustics, the place was far to noisy so everybody had to talk very loud. It nice if you like snobbish places, but we have other preferences.

Oh Restaurant Wine & Gastrobar. Restaurant with nice terras for lunch & diner. Bar with drinks & tapas
Bland food. No passion, no creativity, crayfish and lobster meat in the dish very watery and dull, which suggests that both were frozen. Just nothing special. Small plus side but nothing memorable either was dish with (one) scallop. Wines were ok. Value quality ratio very weak. Apparently they have some kind of gimmicky show some evenings and maybe that detracts from the below par food. The day after we had dinner for a lot less money at the fantastic Carcasse. We are sorry but we suspect that this review is a subjective !

Tried Chez Ced this evening for our wedding anniversary after hearing good reviews from friends. Must say I was not disappointed, the restaurant is welcoming, nice decor and friendly staff. Even on a rainy Wednesday night at the end of August the restaurant was over half full which is always a good indication. We ordered off the set menu because it was just what my wife and I wanted: scampi in garlic butter with steak for main. The scampi was out of this world and tasted very fresh indeed. The steak was equally good, cooked to perfection and a superb cut. The chef Ced came out after the meal to ask if we were satisfied, and explained the steak was locally sourced chateaubriand. No wonder it was so good. At 26 euros per head for the food that is excellent value. Overall 10 out 10. If you're in Koksijde looking for a good meal out you could not do better than Chez CedMerci beaucoup ced et Jérôme

My school friend was driving from Brussels to meet me after 31 years and I was looking for a nice place serving good local food at a reasonable price... and got more than that! It was last Monday, I went there 2 hours earlier to book a table and there was only one available... that was already a good sign. Sitting at our table, outside on the terrace, was lovely in the evening sunshine. The service was really friendly, and in French. And the food was just what we wanted... delicious fondus au parmesan, shrimp croquettes, scampi's, and of course chips/mayo! Oh, with my favourite drink of the Belgian coast, a sangria! Merci le Parasol!

This restaurant was opened in February 2017 by a young couple. Nils cooked and Sofie served us a delicious dinner. Both appetizers and main courses on the fixed menu were picture perfect and delicious. The elderberry dessert was amazing. Sofie's English is excellent and her young daughter charming. A great recommendation from our B&B and at the Carnac Hotel so easily reached by tram.
