Maison D is in the centre of Ronse and lovely interior. Once you enter you are welcomed by the staff that are friendly and real professional. Not only food that is delicious but very nice presented and the that comes along with the whole menu are nice. We have enjoyed every minute of it and we sure will go back.

The intention of the owners is to create an "haute-cuisine" restaurant. However, I think this is exactly where this restaurant is missing its target. This is a good restaurant but its to heavy to be a weekly return-restaurant and it is not refined enough to be a trendy restaurant. Wij hopen daarop.Beste groeten,Chantal & Michel

Struggled up Oude Kwaremont with my wife and dogs in tow to find this cafe at the top. The staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The food was tasty and good quality and the portions were big (I think it's a Belgian thing!). We opted to share a cheese sandwich as we were cycling further and it was planty for two gluttons. The following day we chose a Croque Madame each and although it wasn't like our usual French ones it was very nice. Looking forward to our next cycle round the Vlaamse Ardennen! Dogs aren't allowed inside but the weather was kind and there's a nice terrace and garden.

We stayed in a B&B less then 500m from here, and arriving late in the evening, extremely hungry our hostess recommended this restaurant. The menu was surprisingly fresh for a 'meat oriented' restaurant. We ordered a veal and a beef dish - both came perfectly cooked, with colourful salad and (of course) a healthy serving of belgian frites. Sauces were fantastic. Although we didn't have desert, those served to the other tables looked beautiful. There are also enough dishes on the menu for vegetarians. The staff spoke good English and were able to translate the menu for us. The beer and wine list are extensive.Although we selected meals off the menu, there is also a 'tasting' menu which is very good value. The restaurant is also open for lunch - and as for dinner, there is the option of menu or daily set menu. If staying in Oudenaarde or Kerkhove you should make the time to eat here!

Lâenvie is a top level restaurant located in rural West-Flanders in the commune of St Denijs, part of Zwevegem. The chef and his wife (maître) create a cordial environment with respect for French-style haute cuisine and the etiquette that comes with it without being too stiff. The wines are well selected but classic and in my opinion the lady of the house should dare serving out-of-the-box more modern styles. The food was delicious at comparable level of some Michelin one-star restaurants in the area like Berto in Waregem and Marcus in Deerlijk. I personally felt that the combinations were sometimes too complex in some courses. Certain local produce deserves less creativeness to allow standing out. This didnât held for the main course, though, which was amazing. It comes out as one of the best main courses I had in top restaurants this year. The Ardenneâs roebuck was tender, perfectly seared and ripened⦠an absolute hit! Furthermore, the chef has a patisserie background and as a signature closing dish, he serves a lovely Liègeois waf-fle from a family secret recipe inherited from his father. Only for that, one would go back any time begging for more. Price was acceptable, although as in most of these restaurants aperitif is overpriced at â¬15 for a medium quality champagne which probably isnât even â¬15 for a bottle. That is a shame and the Flemish should step up more and refuse ordering aperitif at that priceâ¦

Ridiculously long waiting times. Some of the staff is friendly, others are plain arrogant: after waiting more than an hour for 2 snacks and 2 salads, we asked the waiter if they hadn't forgotten about us, to which he replied by asking 'if we had to be somewhere'. Spent almost two hours for a quick bite...

We found Maraille by accident due to hitting the wrong button on Facebook!! It looked appealing so, as our boat was moored on the river not far away, we cycled out with the intent to explore. We had drinks, an interesting chat with the owner about different beers, and ended up staying for a light meal. The food was good, with a wide range of beers, including some local specialities. The wine list seemed more limited although I wasn't drinking wine so didn't really investigate the list. The decoration is definitely "tavern" rather than restaurant, but that is what is aimed for. It has a comfortable "lived-in" feel and has a nice annex room plus a large garden area in what seems to be an old orchard. The current owners took over the place in November 2014 (I think!)

This is a beautiful restaurant in the countryside with nice views and stylish interior decoration. The menu list looks appealing with affordable prices. The food was decent for a high-level brasserie, but not gastronomical. The recommended wines were not impressive. Service was hesitant, slow (one hour waiting before first course), even somewhat austere. This is clearly a family restaurant, but during a late dinner with friends, the noise of yelling and running children and pubers irritated me.But all by all, we had a great evening.

Grill - Saisonal Kitchen - Food pairing with whisky - 300 different whiskies
There are 2 seperate rooms to eat, ideal depending on mood. One is more free/friendly, the other crispy clean. The personal is pro and correct, with low waiting time, and good decent info. Definately a good choice in the region. Food is very good and the cook owner daires to try new stuff, just as star restaurant do. Easely accessbile between Ronse and Kluisberg, definately a nice place to go to. To the Chef: keep innovative and dair to do!..
