Sunday lunch with friends in Koeppchen was an absolute delight! Very busy, so booking a table is a must! Excellent Luxembourgish and other dishes. Our table had Blue cheese burgers, gnocchi and Wainzoossiss rinsed down with local Riesling and Rosport Bleu. The apple cake was homemade as well as the crème brulée - both excellent desserts. Service was top notch and we will definitively return to Koeppchen!

The restaurant has a nice terrace and is situated close to the river Moselle which separates Luxembourg and Germany.Decoration is beautiful.Plenty of free parking.So far, so good.The very high prices for the food are in no relation to the quality served! Much too expensive for what you get on your plate!Especially the wine (by the glass) is a joke, you pay more for 1 (small to medium) glass than for a whole bottle in a wineshop?! and that's not normal, even in Luxembourg.Don't tell the owner or the server if you don't like the presentation or taste of your dish. Critical comments are not welcomed here! They don't hesitate to serve you overcooked food (fish/meat/vegetables) but become nasty if you try to argue with them.There are much better places in the beautiful Moselle region to be discovered.

Was invited to this nice restaurant tucked away in Mertert Luxemburg.What a surprise! I had walked past this restaurant more than 50 times and always thought it was something local! My first impression was, a very nicely appointed restaurant. Service was very nice!The menu while not overly extensive, everything was excellent!I really enjoyed dining at Joel Schaeffer! The food was outstanding and the complete dining experience was without a doubt, pleasurable!! You wonât be disappointed!!!

Wir haben das Restaurant bereits mehrmals besucht und waren immer wieder zufrieden. Ausgezeichnete Speisen wie insbesondere beispielhaft ein auÃerhalb der Menükarte geordertes Special Branzino/Dorade in der Salzkruste und vorab ein Thunfisch-Caparcio mit Babyoctopus. Die Auswahl an Weinen insbesondere Rose ist ausreichend und gut. Das Service sehr freundlich und bemüht. Gesamt gesehen ein erfrischender Neuzugang in der Restaurantszene in Grevenmacher.

My husband and I were sent away one Saturday afternoon the waiter telling us they are having a private party which was taking only one quarter of the terrace, there were about 10 free tables on the other side away from the party and some tables inside but no, we had to leave because there was no space. Not even at the bar. Old owner, new owner doesn't change much this place is only for people that are friends with the owner. Dear Madam,On the specific day where you had the unfortunate experience of finding some tables empty outside on the terrace and inside in the bar area, the staff was preparing the location for a larger group of people which had reserved these tables. In order to assure the preparations and to make sure everything is ready by the time the guests arrive, we sometimes have to block a number of tables. We are sorry that this made the impression that you are not welcomed. We assure you that this is not the case and hope to welcome you back any time soon. On busy days, we recommend to reserve your table for lunch or dinner to make sure you get a table.Hope to welcome you and your husband again soon.

The Hotel Simon's has a restaurant located in 1 floor. Last visit 3 years ago. Same good service and food. We had: Zander with spargel. The fish was fresh and tasty.The restaurant has plenty of day like due to the big glass windows. Nice parking and free.
