I had not tasted the traditional Alsacian cuisne for years, and this was a great pleasure !It is not low calories food, and the portion usually is B I G, but that is delicious !Special comment on the seasonal beer "bière de Mars" : excellent ! I could not take less than two .....

We had the veal. It was very good and tasty. Service good. The weather warm the lights and the setting quite comfortable. Our waitress had problems with understanding English, but worked through it. Black beer to us is dark beer, for example. She also had problems with the card machine. American cards do not have the chip and are slid by the side, while the others are tucked in the bottom. Lucky for her we had the cash. Not many visitors here from the states.Dear "american customer",You won't be luckier with me, my English level needs certainly to be improved too. !Happy to reed that you enjoy your diner !Neverthess, let me just clarify two points so that you don't have a bad reminder of your alsacian trip. As in the States, we have dark beer, but unfortunately this special beer is called "Licorne Black" and everybody here knows it as "Black". As for the payment, I am surprised that the card machine did not work... and that our banks deliver special European machines... !!Best RegardsChristine Bourbier

At 16 Euros per plate, the quality and presentation of the food was much better than we were expecting. I was especially impressed by the creativity and subtlety of flavors in my wife's side dish, in which I suspect they used the thickest part of a leek root. They also informally offered children's meals in beef, fish, or chicken at a very fair price. Highly recommended.

I stayed in the Hotel Père Benoît, which is situated at the other side of the quiet courtyard. The restaurant comprises of three medium size rooms and on the evening I visited was bustling with local people that is always a good sign. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I had one of the best scallop and parmesan risottos ever. My only slight criticism is that the smaller tables are placed quite close together.

There are good reasons why this is a busy restaurant, uncomplicated food beautifully cooked, fabulous home made desserts, friendly welcoming staff, and for us just a 10 minute walk from our hotel. We visited The Belle Vue during a recent stay in Ostwald, and we enjoyed it so much, we went back again, and guess what, it was even better the second time.

Wow, I am very surprised that this will be a first English review for this amazing restaurant. Located in a cave, it offered the best service and food in Alsace. The owner is one of the most attentive and friendliest people we have encountered in France. He told us his English was not that great (not true, by the way:) and went out of his way to help us experience the best local products. We tried different beers, got the best wine to accompany local foie gras and were pleasantly surprised at the quality of food considering the place is quite literally in the middle of nowhere. One note - the entree portions are HUGE. Definitely share the main course if you ordered appetizers. Alsacian food is heavier in general so you have been warned! Again, great choice for dinner near Strasbourg Airport.

We were stopping overnight in the area on the way to Austria. We were tired & hungry. This place came out very well in Tripadvisor. It was gone 8:30 PM when we telephoned for a booking. The owner/manager was very helpful and booked us in (he speaks great English!). We arrived to find our table for 3 prepared. The place was packed with what looked like Christmas parties & business people but we were made very welcome. The food was excellent. We had only main course (we were tired & hungry!) We had Lamb Shank, Duck Hamburger & Chicken Cordon Bleu. All was well cooked, well flavoured & tasted very very good. Situated in a very interesting little town (almost Elizabethan houses) it is well worth a visit.Hey hey heyThank you so MuchTourist or not tourist the service its the sameMerci ,gracias, efkalisto, thank you,etc etc...Gil

The Restaurant is very welcoming! very spacious, comfortable, really nice! The menu has a good range of everything and a good wine list. If you take the menu to combine yourself, be aware of the fact that they serve very generous portions! Menu = big appetite! The desserts are wonderful as well.... The staff is very friendly and efficient. We would recommend to book a table and enjoy it!

We came here on way to Strasbourg airport with friends. It's part of the chocolate museum. Foie gras to start followed by chicken breast with seasonal vegetables then apple cake. Overall excellent food in a old fashioned 1920-1930s train carriage...

The Auberge du Moulin which is located between the Grand Ried wetlands and Strasbourg and settled in a charming traditional Alsatian building, invites you to enjoy its warm Alsatian style rooms or its delightful green while tasting the meals that make Als
We booked in advance a table through the internet contact form and it worked well.Beautiful traditional building, we got a table on the first floor from 1 corner. We chose one of the 2 menu with local specialities (foie gras, lamb, escargots, steak). The steak was only ordinary, while the rest of the food was really fantastic.Excellent deserts as well.We ordered a local red wine which was recommended and we enjoyed it.We realised that most of the local people visit the restaurant for the tartes flambées.The service was excellent and very friendly, got a little slow when 3-4 tables ordered amazing amounts of tartes flambées.
