Good friendly service, the waitresses often asked us if everything was fine and if we wanted anything else. The food was tasty and the portions fairly good. Being a warmish evening, we decided to eat outdoors under a huge parasol, that was great.I personally would not have liked eating indoors as the atmosphere was rather cold maybe because it seemed rather dark and dull.

We were in a long bike ride form Luxembourg and decided to have lunch in this place (after 60km). We were hungry but certainly the servings are generous and we did not leave the pace hungry.The food is certainly Portuguese and is properly cooked. I had octopus and it was tender and tasty. Other people liked the cod a la maison and the meat in general. Lasagna was also good. The side servings of salad and fries are also generous. Good overallPrices are OK albeit not on the side of economic. The lunch for 2 was 50 euros with just the main, beer and coffeeService was pleasant and attentive although I would had liked to get out of there a bit faster (but we were a large group)It was quite an effort to re-take our way back (another 40K) after lunch! A good cup of espresso helped

I had dinner there with 3 friends on a Thursday night. The restaurant was surprisingly busy, but we managed to get a table. The waitress was very friendly and the service was quick. The asparagus soup was tasty and a nice little extra. The meat on the hot stone and their bouchée à la reine were delicious.Good value for a decent price!

We booked this hotel as a good base for touring about Luxembourg and driving across to Trier. It has a great location in the Luxembourg Ardennes and is close to Ettelbruck (trains to Luxembourg city) and Diekirch. I think we had one of the de-luxe rooms as it was very spacious, nicely decorated, with a large bathroom and a small outside balcony. The bed was comfortable and there were plenty of extra pillows and blankets if needed, plenty of seats and table space and a reasonable amount of storage room. Breakfast was the usual buffet style but there were plenty of options - meats, breads, fruit, yoghurts etc. There was also a bar and restaurant which we didn't use (rather expensive) but seemed very popular. There were plenty of parking spaces outside and also the option of using an underground car park. both the hotel and location were very quiet.The staff were very 'hands-off' and we hardly ever saw anyone, even at breakfast. We were okay with this but some people might prefer more contact - I think it might just be the Luxembourgish way though. We just had a couple of grumbles. Although the bathroom was nice, the shower was located in the bath and had no curtains or glass panels to contain the water. It was also very low and anyone tall might struggle with it. The other was the amount of insects (mosquitos ?) that came into the room (it was very warm) - we ended up with numerous bites during the night and couldn't actually use the balcony because of them. We tried leaving the window closed during the day but someone always opened it again. Most hotels we've stayed in have provided mesh panels for the windows to prevent this but there weren't any. I know the hotel can't prevent insects in summer but they could perhaps consider some protection from them. Overall though. I'd definitely recommond this as somewhere to stay if you're looking for a touring base.

During a day trip visiting the various Towns of "The Battle of the Bulge" it was lunchtime and I was in Ettlebruck. This was Thursday 9th June 2016. It was a warm and sunny day so I had a yen for a salad. I found the Cafe Biem Grimmel is a calm square very near the centre of Town. I easily found a nice outside table. I chose a Salad Niçoise with a portion of fries â¬13.90. This was excellent, fresh, properly tossed and with a very nice dressing. I reccomend it. A 30cl of Draft Bitburger beer â¬2.80 was cold and refreshing. A coffee was â¬2.60I had a very pleasant lunch and would have no hesitation in returning.

Restaurant ok, in den Ferien wurde uns eine sehr kleine Karte vorlegt. Tagesmenü verfügbar. Essen gut ohne jedoch Wow-Effekt. Preise teilweise etwas überteuert. Kundschaft bestand überwiegend aus älteren Leuten, teilweise Stammkundschaft. Besitzerin sorgt auch für Service und ist freundlich. Es dauerte jedoch fast 30 Minuten bis unser Essen aufgetischt wurde. Gute Alternative falls man etwas Zeit hat

We were visiting Ettelbruck on a Sunday and the place was not exactly busting with life even though Ettelbruck is a nice little town. We came across La Caverna Deliziosa when we were just wandering around. Lunch was excellent, we both enjoyed our pizzas as well as our moeulleux (chocolate and pistache). Service was good and the place is clean and welcoming. I would recommend Caverna Deliziosa for a quick Sunday lunch place. 2 pizzas, 2 Rosport Bleu and 2 desserts came to a total of 48,- eur.

If you're looking for something with a French flair, try this little place. The menu changes seasonally but always has something to please. The Duck is absolutely incredible. It's is small so reservations are a must. Closed on Mondays and often during holiday season. Service is very inviting and friendly, but you will need to use your French. Trust me, the food is worth the language lessons.Maartplaz is our favorite special occasion spot and it never disappoints.
