Find out what French restaurants to try in Durbuy. The “smallest town” on earth, Durbuy, is just 2 hours from Brussels. With a population of 500, Durbury has maintained its charming medieval setting, another Belgium village to relax and enjoy the beauty of history. The city’s first castle was built around 889, awarded “city” status in 1331. Today its pedestrian streets are narrow, flowered and cobbled, winding between the old bluestone homes and buildings, attracting tourists to its shops, fine restaurants and hotels. In December, the streets are alive with Christmas markets. Adventurists can also kayak or raft the Ourthe River that passes through the city. Must-see Durbuy attractions include the Topiary Park, The Belvedere, The Confiturerie Saint-Amour, and with a last thirst-quenching stop at the Marckloff Brewery.

Big restaurant with lots of tables. Friendly staff. Good food and great choice. Price-quality. Paid 160 euros for 3 people: aperitif, starter, main, dessert and a bottle of wine, so a very fair price. Flanders is lots more expensive to dine... Free parking across the street.

Like everywhere in Durbuy the prices here are high. Vieux has the honor of having the most expensive mayonaise we encountered: 2,50 euro for a small cupsize bowl. Others charged between 60 cents and 1 euro. Crazy!! The food was ok but nothing special. With allergies like gluten and lactose they know the way by leaving everything out. And so you end up with dry fish. Their lamb was ok but the accompanied salad and side salad was very little for it's price. Our visit was ok but expensive for the pub food quality we ate.

Our host at B&B La Lisiere suggested this little restaurant as we love gastro food once in a while. It's only open on friday and saturday evening and sundays for lunch. Otherwise a Michelin star would not be out of order. Exquisite delicate food at a fair price, very nice hosts and good wines to be had here :-) Love the fact you can walk to the shelf and see the selection of wines before choosing. Recommendable !

Our chef Wout Bru présents a new concept restaurant: Tapas & Sharing Food Restaurant neuf et branché dans le centre de Durbuy. Au Sanglier des Ardennes.
The bru'sserie is one of the restaurants of the Sanglier des Ardennes hotel. It uses the trendy tapas system, which you can also share. The average price per dish is quite high, and the quantity is really small; so small that sharing is not e real option. When we entered the restaurant I was appalled by the loud nondescript piped music, but the hostess led us to a table on the outside terrace where the music was virtually inaudible. The staff is really very friendly and there is a decent choice of open wines. The small snacks themselves are delicate. I'm not a big eater, so the small quantities didn't bother me, but if you are really hungry you might want to take a full menu. We each had 2 simple dishes, 1 desert, mineral water and 2 glasses of wine, setting us back 150⬠in total. Dear Sir,Thank you for your review. We always appreciate when our clients share their experience with us.We only cook fresh and high quality food/products that's why our tapas are a bit more expensive than somewhere else. Moreover, our Chef is always searching for new combinations of savours to titillate your taste buds...As you said, our tapas are delicate :)Concerning the music, we will pay more attention to it. We hope you'll come back to visit us... maybe to check the improvements ;)Best regards,

Had a good time there and it was something to remember. I mean, there are some tastes that you just cannot forget and there are others that, good and elaborated as they be, just go away the next day. I will remember the taste of the osso bucco for a long-long time, congrats to the chef. The only question mark was a hint of some industrial broth in the risotto. That's a big no-no for me, but maybe not for others.

Bit remote, few mile out of centre up in the hills Nicely redecorated. Good ambiance and very friendly family running this. We took the advised lunch and it was more than worth the money. Nice bottle of wine and all happy!

This charming hotel was very nice and found accidentally while looking for a room in town. It was our first stop and looked very cute from the outside. It was our luck to find a room for one night and also they serve excellent food in their restaurant. The owners run this property, husband is a chef and wife seems to take care of the rooms and all the administrative duties. Nice rooms and very quiet. Just a few minutes away from downtown. Lovely small streets and historical buildings, church and cute shops. If you like something romantic, this is a lovely town to see during your trip to Belgium. Definitely recommend this hotel and their dinner menu prepared by the owners. Nouvelle cuisine with fixed menus.

Charming little house with a beautiful garden giving the whole a note both contemporary but warm and intimate. A beautiful kitchen in the times and based on seasonal product .
We woke up this morning and thought today we just want to have a lovely lunch in a beautiful restaurant and we read some reviews for restaurants in the Wallone and found tLa Table de Manon. We are so glad we did, it fulfilled our hopes. The restaurant is a really lovely space, I don't think that the photos really show what an elegant and restful place it is. We were impressed by the menu, and my sister who has a lot of allergies was excited to hear that the chef was happy to adjust recipes to meet her needs. Each of our meals (we had asparagus and seat bread entree, amb and fish for ) were lovely. The meals looked beautiful when they arrived on the table, The flavours were subtle and complex with rich and delicious sauces. We finished with a lovely rice pudding with a tropical (largely mango) sauce.Dear TroppoRaatus ,You made our day ! Thank you so much for your kind words, we are really happy to know that you enjoyed your time at our restaurant ! Looking forward welcoming you again Manon
