Went with old buddy in the wine business, we spend too much time in restaurants all over the world. Here we had a very relaxed meal with perfectly cooked steaks excellent starters a fine languedoc wine and an assortment of desserts that was a delicious as copious. We did not expect to be knocked for a loop with innovative cooking nor were we impressed by the "chateau " denomination". Perhaps some people come here looking for some kind of gastronomic epiphany. This ain't the place. Downside red burgundies are too young, a bit dear, lots of wines were no longer available. This was explained by nice sommelière as "keeping stock low" before season. The place could use a refit but perhaps that's the charm. I'd gladly return. This coming from someone who dines out 200 times a year.

We stayed here whilst cycling through the Bourgoyne in June and stayed in house. The meal was fantastic in all respects and could not be faulted in the slightest. There was a subtle theme of Moroccan spice through all dishes from the amuse bouche to the dessert which was very cleverly done. Some degustation meals can seem a little disjointed but not so in this case even down to the pea sorbet with dessert!!! We had wine matched with the meal by the sommelier which was a great option. Thinking about the meal still makes us salivate. I'd go back tomorrow to do it all again

We stumbled upon this place mid day and the seated us without a reservation. We had the three course lunch menu and everything was really perfect, including the wine. The setting is also very peaceful outside in a courtyard with the tables not very close together like in many places in France. There was also a little side area where people could smoke so that we did not have smoke from adjacent tables ruining our experience. Off the beaten path but worth it.

The restaurant is in the village of Chaintré, cliose to the city of Mâcon. I believe that it has one star in the Michelin guide.
Located in a sweet village in the picturesque Mâconnais wine region, this restaurant offers a tasting menu delivered by a husband and wife team Sébastien and Floriane Grospellier, chef and front of house respectively. It deserves its Michelin star and frankly Iâm surprised it doesnât have more. The restaurant is welcoming and intimate. We were sent the menu -in French â in advance and were given our samples menus to take home afterwards, which is a nice touch. What really impressed me was that as it is a tasting menu, I contacted the chef in advance as my companion doesnât drink alcohol and prefers to avoid it in food where possible too. The simple message came back â no problem but in the event they went to so much trouble to present him with an alternative where relevant in each course, including cheese where one variety had a rind apparently prepared with wine!Lots of locally sourced goods were on the menu including garden vegetables, herbs and flowers. The portions are perfectly judged for a rich and complex meal, presentation was immaculate and the flavour blends delicious. We had one choice of main course â lamb which I went for and famous Bresse chicken which was also great. Six courses plus amuse bouche, for 60 euros a head, all with immaculately paced service. Drinks are extra from a comprehensive wine list with a good range of local wines. A real evening to treasure. I would thoroughly recommend it.

The lunch offer is limited to a "menu de jour" and cold plates with salads, patés, etc.. Yet, it is worth every minute you stay there. Down to earth good atmosphere, honest cuisine with local ingredients, la Patronne is helping out servicing, large choice of local wines (and if you order a bottle you're invited to glue the cork to the ceiling above your table...). A simple and convincing concept for giving you a pleasant dining experience. And all this at a very affordable price.

Au 14 Fevrier is a remarkable restaurant. We had the 92 euro menu which comprised of 10 courses, several of which were quite extraordinary. In particular the lobster, rabbit and salmon dishes were highlights. The presentation of the food is very precise and quite beautiful. The service was first rate as was the ambiance. The list is not extensive but very well chosen. Highly recommended

Simple place with great food. Very friendly couple running the restaurant, Jean-Marie speaks excellent English, which is not usual in the area. Great and very warm service, generous portions. Every dish made from local products, and the quality of food just wonderful. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.Thank you for your review. We hope to see you again during another trip.
